The hotel is in an excellent location, right in the heart of the city overlooking the castle. For a 5* hotel the turn in is a little small and there is no sign of the valet parking until you enter into the building.
Check is was swift and polite, the norm. with Hilton. I booked an executive junior suite which was on the 5th floor overlooking the city hall with 4 big windows. The room was really spacious, a big jump over the standard room. There was the all important robes, pillow and soap menu in the room and also a very artistic attempt at laying sliced fruit out on a plate.
As with most Hilton hotels there is an executive lounge which has stunning panoramic views of the castle and Cardiff. The upgrade from a standard room is well worth it as you get use of the lounge including drinks and snacks included. The lounge did close a little early, but the manager noted my comments in a thoughtful letter sent promptly after my stay.
Room service was well priced and didn't take too long bringing the food up and it was of an acceptable temperature.
Overall, another great stay in a Hilton.close
