We stayed in "please do not disturb" which has microphones hanging from ceiling, artificial grass carpet, wall covered in braail and it even came with a karaoke system! Staff are fun and very friendly. Highly recoomend this unusual hotel for a unique experience.

Interesting concept, does not work as a hotel however, the staff are more interested in hanging out with their arty friends than serving customers. We felt like we were inconvieniencing them at times. Very expensive for what it is.

A very funky and cool hostel. Our room facing Long Street was noisy and light though - could do with double glazing and darker curtains/blinds. Besides this, perfect!

The rooms are all decorated by local artist and each has a different theme. They are sooo much fun! The staff was great!! Very helpful and friendly! They have a travel desk up the street, and they were also great! Free internet is available in the common area and there is a balcony overlooking Long Street. There is a cafe right next door that offers breakfast and excellent coffee. The area has plenty of restaurants, bars and things to do, especially at night, and it felt very safe to us. At the time we stayed there the hotel wasn't fully booked, so we were given a tour of almost all the rooms and were able to choose one. The only word of advice is that is you are traveling with a friend, some of the bathrooms have glass doors on them. You may not be quite that close with your friend. One room even has a glass wall between the bedroom and the shower. Unless you're alone or with a significant other, you may want to check the bathroom situation first. Whenever I get to go back to Cape Town, I will definitely stay at Daddy Long Legs!close
