There was hair all over the floor on the sheets and in the shower drain. We had a private room with a bathroom. Otherwise it was really nice and I'd go back.

This place was fantastic. Great character and friendly, fun atmosphere. In hindsight, might rather have stayed on lively Long Street, but this place is close to the waterfront and very convenient / fun.

The staff, and owners, couldn't be more helpful booking trips and giving sound information and advice. A word of warning: follow their advice on areas which to stay away from, particularly if alone. Cape Town can be a dangerous place in certain areas (as I found out to my cost) and Craig and his team will guide you expertly on personal safety. You'll then have a great stay in the city and nice memories.close

The bathrooms however could do with a little updating in keeping with the rooms. The location was great. V & A waterfront is only 5 mins walk away and the city centre about 15 mins walk. The only downside to the hostel is one of the girls working on the desk is a little supid and made a few mistakes. As such we ended up not being able to stay our last night and nearly lost R340! Luckily, Colin on the desk is great and he managed to sort out a refund. If this happens to you, dont stay at Fawlty Towers around the corner - rubbish!!close
