  “ Such a dirty hostel. Cigarette butts all over, dirty dishes and nasty toilets. The dorm for 9 people was tiny and the keys to the safety-lockers could open all the other lockers as well! The staff was friendly on request. Would not recommend! ”

  “ Staff didn't bother replying to an e-mail I sent regarding how to get to the hostel from the Intercape Mainliner stop because they'd never heard of Intercape Mainliner (one of the largest coach companies in southern Africa). Only one shower room for the whole hostel - contains 2 showers but... more nowhere to change, hence if 1 person's in the shower then they'll lock the door to the whole room. Insect infestation (small cockroaches and biting creatures) in my single room. Good location though ... close ”

  “ We were hugely disappointed in the hostel. It was grubby to say the least and our double bed took up 80% of our tiny room. The location is not good, there is a tremendous amount of shouting and noise all night long from the street below. We had reserved an ensuite room but there was no toilet,... more toilet, we had to go down 2 floors and up 1 to use a rather dirty facility. The office is closed almost permanently. I have to say it was one of the worst hostels we have stayed in, and we are keen hostellers! close ”

  “ most staff are pleasant and kind, bar the manager who is stuffy and rude. no effort is made to make guests feel welcome. i stayed in a double private room. ensuite it is not, just a shower and sink, no toilet. small and cramped, not very clean. bedsheets smell strange. great location though, good... more good enough for one or two nights, but look elsewhere... close ”

  “ The beds are awfull. Old en need to be replaced. The service could be friendlier. Also we took the room with the "bathroom" awfully small room with a shower that didn't work. Ask for the chinese room which is nice. Good location and nice house (television room and kitchen) ”
