Nice place. If you like party...no problem, perfect place. If you look for quiet place where you can peacefully sleep whole night then choose another hostel.

Good location, 15 minutes walk from long street, security is quite good. Would like to thank Edith and Nina, the best characters of the hostel. Also the pool is damn good, kitchen is fully equipped. awesome!

Ashanti knows that they're a wellknown hostel with a good name, therefor any personal contact feels like a hospital, 'your just a number'. it's expensive, you pay a lot for bad beds, and the bar isn't cheap as well.. It has no warm atmosphere at all.

I thought this hostel was brilliant! Yes, the double rooms were a little noisey as stated on Hostelworld but the staff ensured the music was turned off and people moved on long before midnight so we had no problems. Amazing showers and great location.

the room that I was (64 ??) was intolerable I am afraid and I checked out early. There may be people who can cope with blaring music until 12.30 and then inccessant banging doors for the next hour or so but I think that you should ask first !

I had a fabulous time here. The hostel has such a relaxed atmosphere that it's easy to just spend the whole time chilling out but luckily I got to do most of what I wanted to in Cape Town as well. If I come back to Cape Town any time I'm sure I'll be back.
