Really lovely, not cheap! A long weekend destination.. fly to Nice and take the bus, quick and very cheap, into the city (leaves you in the center) Right on the Cote D'Azure the town itself is lovely... very shopping centered, Rue D'Antibes - high street shopping, La Croisette - Designer...more Really lovely, not cheap! A long weekend destination.. fly to Nice and take the bus, quick and very cheap, into the city (leaves you in the center) Right on the Cote D'Azure the town itself is lovely... very shopping centered, Rue D'Antibes - high street shopping, La Croisette - Designer Shopping. Amazing hotels (dont expect big rooms) cool bars... ensure you spend half a day at least lounging in one of the "beach areas" (3.14 is my fave) lovely restos, cafes and people watching areas.The Suquet (old town) is nice for a romantic meal.. shop around for some places are pricey. Take a boat out to the Lerin Islands and just chill!!close

while it is certainly a charming, characteriscally french town, it is over run with wanna be famous holiday makers. the result of the wealthy customers cannes attracts is overpriced living. unless you've got you're own yacht, or own that mansion on the hill i would advise not staying longer than...more while it is certainly a charming, characteriscally french town, it is over run with wanna be famous holiday makers. the result of the wealthy customers cannes attracts is overpriced living. unless you've got you're own yacht, or own that mansion on the hill i would advise not staying longer than a day or too in cannes.close

Cannes was quite nice! It is like Nice in a lot of ways but cleaner and smaller; so more personal. The beaches, I found, were gross because the bay has boats in it! Lots of people swam but I refused to because of the smell! There is LOTS of cheap shopping and lots of affordable places to go...more Cannes was quite nice! I loved our stay in Cannes. It's small, so easy to walk around everywhere, especially compared to Nice, which is huge! It has lovely sandy beaches (no pebbles) and a great chill out atmosphere. Plus, fantastic shopping! Eating out here is a little expensive (main meals average 15 euros), but...more I loved our stay in Cannes.
