It rains more than snows in the winter. In fact, I've seen people wearing flip flops and shorts in february. worth the stop for sure.close

Vancouver is a great city, quite a small town feel to it. I stayed on Granville street, HI Vancouver. This is a hub or bars and clubs, you are spoilt for choice for a late drink. I love the pubs in Vancouver they are grungie and play great music, very relaxed. You can get around most of Vancouver...more Vancouver is a great city, quite a small town feel to it. I stayed on Granville street, HI Vancouver. This is a hub or bars and clubs, you are spoilt for choice for a late drink. I love the pubs in Vancouver they are grungie and play great music, very relaxed. You can get around most of Vancouver by walking and also a good train system. Vancouver is famous for the $1 slice of pizza, so great for a budget holiday. While there I also went to a hockey game, great atmosphere. Only thing that put me off was the number of homeless people on the streets, but they have to be the friendliest I've ever come across.close

Reallyy liked spending time here, great place to shop and chill out, didn't go out much but the night scene looks great. Lots to do at night, ice hockey, skating, cinema etc, but felt not so much to do in the day. Vancouver's friendly and has some good bookshops but to be honest, unless you like mountains it's pretty dull. I reckon it will be fantastic in about 20 years if it develops a buzz.
