Overall a good hostel. Lots of variation between the rooms, some good, some not so good. No noise from the street. Not great for meeting other travelers. Best price for double room that we found.

The staff were great but the other travelers were very reserved and not very social. I don´t recommend it if you are interested in meeting other people. Most other guests didn´t want to socialize.

Front desk staff very helpful with taxis and directions. Enjoyed the fact it was non smoking.

We stood at Gardenhouse Art Factory which is an hostel from the same owner. The common kitchen was very dirty. Besides, we stood there for 8 nights and our room wasn't cleaned once and neither our sheets nor the towels were changed. It was a shame, since the receptionists were very kind and helpful.

It was a hassle and inconvenient (especially in Buenos Aires, with the night life!) because I wouldn't be able to sleep in and had to move out my things by checkout time on those mornings. The first employee I talked to expected me to pay a higher fee for one night for switching to a private double, but then I talked to another employee (Daniela, who was my favorite and so friendly!) and she said I didn't have to pay that extra fee. I was still somewhat frustrated by the all-around miscommunication, between me and the hostel and also between the hostel employees themselves. On a similar note, there was one night in which there was a pizza social planned, we were asked to sign up early on to secure a place. The employee didn't tell us that it was canceled until after we went downstairs to the reception to ask where our dinner was. It was 10:30pm, the asado was supposed to be at 10pm, and we were hungry.close

Staff were very helpful, advising on places to go and what to see. All speak good English. Location is not very central, about 15 minutes walk from the heart of San Telmo but its near a couple of subway stations.

This hostel was just like that. All the guests at the hostel respected the place, and it felt completely safe. The only caveat is that the bathroom garbage can wasn't always emptied. But thank heavens the bathroom toilet and overall bathroom was clean despite the high ratio of people to one toilet per area.close

The managers, Javier and Manu, are very friendly, cool guys. They helped me to arrange a Tango and booked a trip to Colonia for me. This is a top hostel!

Good breakfast with juice and fruits in addition to the normal fare of bread with jam and coffee or tea. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this hostel to anyone.close
