We stayed two nights: First night was in a dorm (9 beds, window to the noisy streets) on the third floor of a shaky bunk bed. For the second night we had a double ensuite and it was great: comfortable and quiet. The common room ist really nice, breakfast o.k. and the staff is very helpfull.

The hostel is clos to the heart of Buenos Aires, with a very helpful staff. They were nice enough to give me a refund when I had to leave earlier than I had planned.

Only some of them have lockers inside however, while for the others you must store your things in lockers near the reception, which is quite inconvenient given that this area is closed off after 1:30am. It would be nice if the lockers that are in some of the rooms were a bit bigger so that they could hold your pack. The nice thing is that all of the rooms have locks on the doors, so only people staying in that room can enter with their keys. Even so, I was aware of several thefts that occurred either right before I arrived or during my stay there. The staff was quite helpful and accommodating, although not overly friendly. The location (Micro Centro) is nice, and provides easy access to many tourist attractions. That said, it doesn´t have a ton of amazing places to go out at night - I would recommend staying in Palermo if you want to party more. The hostel isn´t much of a party hostel, in part because the bar area- common area is closed after 1:30 am, and also because it tends to host a slightly older crowd than some hostels. Given that I was traveling alone as a 21 year old female, I was hoping for something a bit more rowdy and social. This hostel would be really good for people who like a nice spacious hostel and low key evenings, but if you want to be very social and go out a lot then you might want to look for something that might not be so ¨pretty¨ but caters to a slightly younger crowd (i think this is probably in part due to the face that the common area closes so early). I would probably not stay at this hostel again for that reason.close

The location was very central which was good too. I also enjoyed the free Tango lesson. The negative aspects were that it's very noisy (the way the building is designed means that there is not much noise insulation) and people were out singing and playing the guitar till 2am every morn. This is fine on the weekend but i found it annoying on Sun night as i needed to get up early the next day to go to Uruguay. Some of the staff members were a bit annoying as they messed up our bookings a few times and walked into our room early in the morning twice without knocking.close

Was a nice hostel, well located. We were in the front room and was extremely noisy throughout the night, with traffic and dust carts being emptied. Need double glazing. Also the included breakfast was nothing special

The room was clean and adequate, nothing out of the ordinary (we stayed in a double room). We asked a lot of the staff, and generally they were helpful, but one nighttime staff member gave us attitude whenever we requested something. The biggest problem with this hostel was the lack of a social atmosphere-- there were very few people hanging around in the common areas and those who were hanging around did not seem to be open to meeting new people. The experience here was more like a budget hotel than a hostel. You can find a better place for your money in Buenos Aires.close

First, the crowd consisted of several older independent travellers, older couples, and families - needless to say it was a less than lively bunch, at least compared with the majority of my other hostel experiences. Second, the hostel is not run like a youth hostel: the main room with reception, kitchen, terrace, and community area closes at 1:30 (extremely early by Argentine standards). Furthermore, there is no 24-hour reception, so the only way to enter after hours is by key. It didn't happen to me this time, but it would be easy to get separated from your travel friends, and be locked out of your hostel until either the receptionist came in at 8:00 or your friends show up. Another example of how the hostel is not catered for youth would be that although check out is at 11, they take away the breakfast much earlier. I don't know many younger travellers that get up earlier than they absolutely have to, which would usually mean 5 minutes prior to checking out. Also, the bedroom had a strong wet, moldy smell and the sheets they provided were too small and basically worthless. And someone stole my toothpaste! Who the hell steals a tube of toothpaste? Bottom line: I have no idea how this hostel achieved such a good rating.close

This hostel is a great place to stay. It combines atmosphere with a great price and location. There's everything you need within a block, and just two blocks to a subte station.

A good hostel that weLve stayed in before but unfortunately they messed up our hostelworld booking for New year so we were left without a room and had to change hostel. All worked out well in the end but it was a bit of a bummer having no space when weLd made a reservation 2 weeks earlier.

Most of the staff are fab but there´s one girl at night who is super grumpy, rude, doesn´t pass on messages and will generally make your life miserable if you ask for anything. Otherwise a gerat place to stay.
