Common area is good for meeting people, but the place pretty grungy. Bathroom is small and kitchen is tiny (and weirdly also the only place you can smoke?!)

apart from not being shown around the hostel at all when I arrived, the staff turned out to be lovely. The hostel is a tad nosiy in terms of street noise (it is central B.A, and all rooms face onto some form of common area. Nice old building though, very historical!

Superb hostel! This is the second time I have been here and enjoy it a lot. Chilled out atmosphere in a great location. A perfect alternative if one isn´t feeling up the Milhouse etc. I will be back!

great, more relaxed hostel, good common area , could do with an outside area, guys bathrooms are awkward, and is a bit hot inside, but right group of people and u will have a great time

Very good location and staff. Good place to meet new people. But the breakfast is not nice as in the picture, and there is no AC, so it can be hot in summer.

The Hostel has an excellent location, but some staffs are not so educated. The place does not have funny moments, and for this price, did not fullfil my expectations!

Staff is friendly and helpful, location very central and therefore good for exploring the city. Very decent breakfast and shared spaces. Dorm beds average.

Very noisy due to proximity of main streets, and coming and going of residents. Facilities make this hostel very comfortable and the staff are extremely helpful and freindly otherwise.

Very cozy atmosphere, staff is very nice and helpfull. The hostel is allways clean and the big Common rooms are very BIG and thats good!! I would come back.

It was a great place, great staff, and location but it was really smokey. They had no smoking signs up but everyone still smoked. Other than that I would def recommend BA Stop.

I only stayed there one night, but the hostel was great, very central location, and best thing was the girl at reception who was so helpful, I had a million questions and requests but she did everything for me with a smile - excellent customer service!!

Very noisy - the downside of the convenient location is that the hostel is a block away from one of the main traffic routes in Buenos Aires and as the hostel is situate on a corner, a huge volume of traffic passes by it on both sides on an all day and all night basis. I have also been awoken... more Very noisy - the downside of the convenient location is that the hostel is a block away from one of the main traffic routes in Buenos Aires and as the hostel is situate on a corner, a huge volume of traffic passes by it on both sides on an all day and all night basis. I have also been awoken by waste disposal and bottle collection at all hours of the night and have heard children playing in the nearby streets until the early hours of the morning. Whilst the staff are generally nice and helpful, they need to be more firm in terms of noise generated in the common areas of the hostel in the early hours of the morning - failing to deal appropriately with a guitar wielding maniac screaming at the top of his lungs from 1-3am is just one example. In short, nice enough hostel but if you want a sound sleep, you might be better off looking elsewhere.close

Cant faut the place for location. However, they insist on taking your room key from you when you leave the premises (you decide). Plus they let people sleep in the common areas. ON the plus side the best coffee in SA so far but the showers could do with a good clean.

Good place to stay but not private enough. Too much cigarrette smoking going on and if you want a silent room, you are in the wrong place. Too much partying going on in the house.

BA Stop is a great place and I would recommend staying, however be aware of the noise (dorm rooms) in the morning and during the day as it is only on the second floor. The gents shower was a bit basic but the staff are absolutely excellent.

I had a great time at this hostel I would recommend it to everybody: Location is perfect ( safe ) and staff really helpfull. Breakfast is GREAT !!! I loved the tango show every week at the hostel.

OK place, but there are a lot better places with more value for your money in BA. I swtiched to Nomade (in San Telmo) after a couple nights, and it was only 18 pesos (BA stop is 22)...a much cleaner and better atmosphere for the money. I had my vacation in BA and stayed in BA Stop Hostel. The girls (Laura and Mariela) at the reception-desk were really kind and helped me a lot with good ideas and information. I was satisfied with everything. I have only one suggestion to the owner: a new and bigger cupboard in the room No.6.... more I had my vacation in BA and stayed in BA Stop Hostel. Altogether, it was a very good 9 days, full of with fun and meeting with nice guys from all over the world.:o) It was a luck to chose this hostel. :o)close
