A popular spa for locals and tourists alike. There is a large sunning area around the three large baths of different tempatures. The hot spring that is used for the baths was discovered by accident whilst drilling a water well.

I think the thing I like most about Budapest is the fact that you can go to the Szechenyi Baths every day. You have the choice of bathing in the outdoor thermal pools or using facilities indoors such as steam rooms, medicinal pools and more.

We were told about this place on the train to Budapest from a group of Irish guys who told us we have to go. Ended up going and coming back twice. Fantastic, relaxing and heaven are words that spring to mind. After a busy day sightseeing it was the perfect way to unwind in the "healing"... more We were told about this place on the train to Budapest from a group of Irish guys who told us we have to go. Also, they are cheaper and not as busy after 4 so its perfect! <br><br>Just worth mentioning, It didnt happen me because I was warned that thieves operate in the locker rooms and the electronic lockers which are locked via a pin number are easy to break into seemingly so DO NOT bring any valuables with you.close

Do the baths - if nothing else in Budapest take a trip to the baths, they are warm and relaxing. They are all over the city.
