   Great little place up in the Buda Hills. Takes about half an hour to get to from Moscow Square but there is a frequent and cheap (270Ft) bus that runs from just outside the hotel. Takes about half an hour to get to from Moscow Square but there is a frequent and cheap (270Ft) bus that runs from just outside the hotel. We took a taxi from the airport to the hotel, don't bother with public trying to get there. Very pretty hilltop location - there's a lookout tower about a mile away where you can see the whole of Budapest that's well worth the walk to. As for the staff, they could not be faulted; courteous and helpful. Breakfast was excellent (a la carte if you don't find what you like in the buffet) and the facilities are 5 star. The only criticism is our room had no airconditioning. We asked for a fan and the staff found one for us though. This is one of those little gems you want to keep a secret but can't.close

   I stayed in the Zara Boutique July of last year. The best thing about it was the wonderfully air conditioned rooms. At the time the heat was unbelivable and you could not practically move so we greatly welcomed an hour of reading in out cool, well decorated and comfortable (but small) rooms. I travel a lot and usually stay in budget hotels for about €50. The Zara cost €70 but the gulf in class, attention to detail and sheer comfort far outweighed the difference in price. I would have no problem reccomending this hotel to anybody, regardless of what you are used to it really is fantastic. well done guys (ps. only a stones throw from the danube too)close

   Really nice hotel but it's on a main road and you have to get the bus into town. Staff were great and twin rooms were a good size.

Budapest is a Beautiful city with loads to do, I can’t recommend it more, great for short stays (try staying for a long week end if you can)close

   Nice one i thought, I have picked up a bit of a bargain here. A for star hotel that was great value (€65 a night), with the word "gold" in the title. Boy was i wrong. I had booked in for a week. Left after 3 nights and found somewhere with half the rating and twice the quality. This place is too far out from the action and even too far from a metro line. Do not ask me where they found four stars to stick on their hotel because certainly they cannot have been awarded them. The hotel seemed a bit run down, badly maintained and although have advertised accepting credit cards asked me to go the the atm to pay with cash instead when I was leaving early. I was a bit suspicious that they had my details and would penalise me for checking out early but thankfully they did not. Otherwise I did find the staff pleasant but the hotel definately notclose
