Blessed with a very comfy bed in an open and spacious room, warm and inviting furnishings, fully operational kitchen, private bathrooms, a fantastic meal on Tuesdays, free internet and staff that resemble your best friends- and they could be your new ones! Very positive and helpful experience here, and recommended for solo travellers and smaller groups.close

A great hostel with LOADS of character. The staff was great and the general vibe was very friendly. We really enjoyed our two nights. The 4 bed room had tones of space and was very quiet. We also lucked in to a tasty free dinner the night we were there. I highly recommend staying here.

total dive, lookes as though it should have been a mission for alcoholic bums, which funnily enough budapest is full of, one good thing the female staff were great help, the guy spent his time either sleeping and or being complete knob

Not a large party hostel but that's exactly why I was comfortable there. Bathrooms are shared but separate, rooms are spacious, beds are comfortable and separate (6-bed room); so it felt close to being home - more than other hostels… It is close to the main city centre but since Budapest is a widespread city, the best thing to be close to is a metro station and you would find one in front of the hostel! One last thing; thanks to Maria and Ferenc, my stay was great, you were the most helpful - thanks again!close

This is by far one of the friendliest places I've ever stayed at, hostel or otherwise. My only regret is that I wasn't able to stay for the Tuesday night home-made Hungarian meal. If you stay in Budapest, do not pass this place up!

It was only for one night (a late one at that) but I found Home Made to be one of the best hostels I've had the pleasure to stay at. Staff was gracious and helpful to me and my non-staying guests. Room was large and comfortable. I hope to return to Budapest and Home Made.

The best hostel I've stayed in. Only potential setback would be the noise from the street, although it didn't bother me much.

good location and helpful staff. quirky dorm rooms (posters from FHM on some walls) and individual locks or even curtains for the showers would be good.

I helped to fix an old table football, and I have to come back someday and see how it ends up. The people there are so nice and helpful. I made friends overnight with that Dutch guy whose name I don't remember. Only thing the place needs is the possibility to party all night long. But you can do that somewhere else.close

One of the coolest hostels ive stayed at. Not often do you get to stay up on a loft. Huge ceilings, free internet, great staff. Right in the octogon which is a pretty good centre for everything. Small, so you get to meet some pretty cool people. I would definitly recommend this place!
