Great little hostel that adds a homely environment. Staff is real cool and will go out an party with you and show you around the night scene. Olga the owner is really sweet and really seems to enjoy what she has going on in the Bubble. They also give a great introduction to the city.

Budapest was best seen through the sheen of THE BUBBLE. The staff was VERY helpful; navigating through the city was very easy with their guidance. We felt very satisfied with what we were able to see and experience and much of that is owed to their reccomendations.

Basically, the downside is that any hostels you go to after staying here will seem like crap. The location is great, it's clean, but the staff makes the experience incredible. I've never had hostel staff take such an interest - they showed us where to go, what to do, and even took us out at...

So good I came back... and it had nothing to do with the Russian I met, I swear. Sam and Bronwyn will take you out, make you happy, know all the local spots, have cigarettes with you and make your stay as comfortable and hedonistic as you like. Oh yeah, everything was clean and tidy, and the... more

Easily one of the best Hostels I've stayed at to date. Bronwyn and Sam the women running the place are both very experienced with travelling and exceptionally friendly and helpful and prettier even than the girls from New Zealand. I would have had less fun in Budapest if I had stayed anywhere...

Wonderful experience. Sam and Bronwynne (sorry if I spelled your name wrong) made my friends and I feel right at home. Many of the bars in Budapest have an underground feel, and you probably wouldn't find them on your own. The staff at the Bubble took us right out to hit, as if we were old... more

Had a truly awesome stay- within minutes the staff are also your trip advisors and friends. They helped us find all the cheap eats and cool drinking holes. The result: we didn't want to leave, and ended up extended our stay by four days. Make sure you're there on a Monday... you'll find out why!

Description of Budapest Bubble

Budapest Bubble is a cozy, unique hostel in the heart of the city. Our location is hardly beatable, easy to reach from every train and bus station and from the airport as we are between the two main underground lines (M2 Astoria, M3 Kálvin tér) and close to many bus and tram stops. Our window looks out onto the National Museum, you can use it's park as if it was the hostels garden. We are next to universities and international cultural institues, which give the area a young and cultural vibe. Most of the main attractions (e.g. Gellért Hill, Gellért Bath, Market Hall, Váci Street, Great Synagogue, Danube bank etc.) are in walking distance, just like many clubs, bars, shops, banks, post office, pharmacy and antique bookstores. Budapest Bubble has a laid back atmosphere with flexible check in/check out time. We offer free tea, free coffee, free internet, free linen, 24 hour hot water, clean facilities and kitchen use. No hidden charges!! We'll provide you with plenty of information about the city (also caving and bike tours) and how to get around, so you can make the most of your stay in Budapest. We collect and share animated DVDs and other movies and have a common area where you can socialize with other travelers. Though we like to have fun, we are not a party hostel. We aim to provide a quiet and relaxed atmosphere in the hostel, so if you'd like to party you can visit some of the clubs and bars close by. Have a nice journey, we look forward to meeting you!
