Nice apartment in the heart of Budapest, right across the street from the synagogue; very safe area! Well-equipped kitchen and bathroom, and everything was spotlessly clean.

It's well located and clean, with most of the implements you need. The staff are helpful and punctual. Two gripes: When it is warm, the apartment suffers as there are no fans at all and poor natural ventilation without a bedroom door being open. Secondly, there was only one mattress in our room that we would describe as being satisfactory. The others ranged from poor to awful. Once they fix those problems, for the price, there would be absolutely no complaints.close

Small, quiet, friendly & helpful staff (not on site, but phone number provided). Clean except for the kitchen. Interesting/unusual place to stay on a small budget.

We really enjoyed our stay here - if you are interested in the 2nd World War, this guesthouse is in the Budapest Jewish ghetto and the block is unchanged since those times apart from the introduction of central heating. Tamas, the owner, was really helpful and met us easily. He gave us tips for trips and arranged a taxi to the airport for us. The location is good, about 5 mins walk to one of the main metro interchanges. It's a small guesthouse, but we got on really well with the other people staying there. I thoroughly recommend it.close

Loved the apartment. Terrible decour!;-).... One big problem - You NEED to give more keys out to guests that shared rooms. My Girlfriend and I were woken several times at around 4AM on two nights by people (Polish group) trying to get into the apartment. VERY VERY irritating. That said, it...

It has a very very nice and fully-equipped kitchen. The bathrooms are very clean and the bedrooms are so nice, too!!! I believe the whole apartment is new and thus everything is so clean and tidy. And the man who led us to the apartment is a very nice and helpful guy. He introduced to us what the local hungarian food is and suggest the places where we should visit. Oh ya, there are some leaflets, maps and guide books in the apartment which we found so useful!! This house is so so nice, I really have to say! Though Budapest doesn't have as many place to visit as in Prague (in my opinion), my stay in Ever Silvester Guest House did make my visit in Budapest very enjoyable and unforgettable!!close

good place to stay, however advertising is misleading. we booked expecting a double bed *private on suite*. this was not the case, as it only has a shared toilet and bathroom.

An excellent location comparable to the 4th Arondissement of Paris. A 100 year old building with the usual minor flaws for houses that age.

Great place to stay. The location is great. If you don't mind not having the hostel atmosphere, (meeting a lot of people, etc.) it's great. It's a great deal, and would stay there again.

My booking was made and confirmed for a double room Ensuite. The room was fine with plenty of space, but no ensuite facilities - the bathroom and toilet was shared with two other private rooms at the apartment. The owner was under the impression that 'Ensuite' meant 'private room' and not private bathroom. I informed him that in the UK, when a room is listed as Ensuite, it means that it has a private bathroom. He said that he would change the listing to avoid future misinterpretation. The other guests thought they were having private bathrooms too. As I said, no real problem just that I didn't get what I was expecting because of the owners misunderstanding of the term Ensuite. He was fine about it and I said there was no problem. The owner was very friendly and accomodating and I'd recommend this apartment to anyone who wouldn't mind sharing facilities. Thank youclose
