SO the adults, I can say, are somewhat hostile. The sightseeing is subpar except the art museum which was pretty cool. I liked the park and the city is cheapish, but i dont know if its worth feeling unsafe. The best thing about my trip was the nightlife. we went clubbing and everyone knew how to speak english and they were all very welcoming and friendly. I went with a group of 5 though, so much less than that I would not have felt super safe. But its an adventure and inner Romania, especially Transylvania is beautiful! close

Bucharest was incredibly vibrant, loads of energy pretty much everywhere you went. Found that the people were very accomodating, happy to help and very fun! Most were intrigued to learn that i was from London and wanted to ask a few questions. I had to oblige as i had loads about Bucharest :p Met 2 couples out there in Green Hours 22 Jazz Cafe. Nice bar, VERY cheap! They took us to another bar called Becker Brau which was closed but they knew the owner so we were allowed in for \"1\" :p They were then to go home but one of the barmen was going clubbing and invited us out with him. Great city guide, really fun guy.close

I wouldn't rate it as a tourist destination as its just a busy dirty city but it is somewhere that you should spent 2 days. Saw the peasent Museum its pretty cool and the village museum is a sight but its not a must see as its just hundreds of similar old houses but take a walk that way as the Trumphal Arch is cool with the funny burned champs Elisee strip leading up to it. The Palace of Parliment is worth checking out as its so big, but ugly. Bucharests main pull is it is the gateway to the rest of Romania which is such a beautiful country with mostly very friendly and accomidating locals.close

TRaffic chaos all around.... they need policemen at every street corner to ensure the lights weren'r broken. People were really helpful and friendly to us as we tried to find our way the many times we got lost. They were so helpful, and seemed genuinely pleased and eager to help! We both loved the Romanians!! You have to check out the palace of parliament - a must see. If you are thinking of gong there, don't spend any more than 2 days in Bucharest.... you will see the most important sights in this time, and you'll really need to get out of the city as it has a way of getting under your skin. Oh and Baneasa airport has to be the worst i have experienced. Be warned!! But somehow, I liked Bucharest... it's unforgettable.close

Everyboday wants money, The people are mostly unfriendly and don't konw theri city od don't want to help. Beware of your belongings!!! Romanians may be charming, but only to get your money, they are like tunesian carpet sellers. They know better hostels, they drive you everywhere you want for 500 € etc. Even if you say out loud NO they will run after you hundert meters to convince you to take their taxi, eat their food, etc. They are intolerant, they hate their neighbouring countries, their minorities, especially hungarians and germans and gypsies. They think, that they are the heir of the roman empire! The only way to make them shut up is to speak lound and unfriendly russian. Taxi drivers usually want 200 € for a 8 km trip, just give them 40 RON, if they complain, tell them, they should call police. Then they give up. Don't rely on time shedules, the 8 km trip to one of the 2 airports may take you 2,5 hours. Don't hesitate to give the taxi driver direktions. Be rude to them to get what you want. otherwise, they won't react. Romanians think, that they are god's present to the EU. In my opinion, every contury, but Romania fits in the EU. Bukarest is in fact rather exsive if you want to shop clothes, wehen you compare it to cities like Sofia, Kosice, Warsaw, Krakow, Odessa, Kiew. etc. The most important thing to me: Romanians are the most homophobe people in Europe!close

Wonderful building, location, services, and staff. Wonderful hotel. Though pricey, make no mistake, this high quality hospitality is a rare thing for Romania. Would recommend to anyone (business or tourist) traveling to Bucharest.

Its like a granny's house. It is really hard to find, it is not clean, and not convenient to the airport. Highly recommend on staying in something a bit worth something. Pass up breakfast unless your starving. Thanks, please consider, because as long as its like that i won't be staying there!
