Rooms allocated to hostelworld customers are very small. eg 32a and 32b essentially a normal room divided. 24 hour reception = need to buzz for manager to open the door.

The hotel is good in general, however one might find the Kiwi smell (wie ich) in the main lobby and staircase a bit too overwhelming, due to the free shoe polishing machine.

Only one large bath towel per room - no good for 2 people to use, and they didn't have any more! Fruit at breakfast left a lot to be desired. Generally ok.

There was a strong smell of paint/chemical in the hotel during my stay there, not very pleasant. The breakfast was ok. The toilet was more like a temporary installed type of renovation. The tram station should be Faider but it was not clearly stated in the information from hostelworld.

awsome bathtub (in room 31 at least)... overly soft bed, better breakfast than most.. location was fine for walking to central area and all attractions (also trams/buses if your lazy), took taxi from central station for under 10 euro

It is about a 10 to 15 minute walk from a Metro stop that is three stops from the Midi train station, and you will probably need to ask directions a couple of times. I sure wish that when these hotels and hostels write the directions that they would do a much more thorough job of it, maybe use landmarks like McDonalds and that sort of thing. It is a decent value for the 50 euros for a single room.close

A quite pretty hotel, really not expensive for what it is (we paid 29,50 € per person per night). Very clean, very comfortable. A square breakfast is included in the price. The only thing we can reproach to this hotel is its location, outside the city of Brussels (but there are some bus...

The hotel has a very nice character. It is in a quiet area from which you get in the centre by tram easily. Next to a big street with lots of shops and cafés.

The direction could be better, if isn't for me to ask around, I would never know there's no tram from Brussels Certral to this hotel. Shower is a little tiny, but still clean and tidy.

yes, very nice if you are looking for a quite place with no disturbances. All very clean and tidy. A little far from the centre but not hard once you find the tram station... which very few locals seemed to know and figuring out the station.. interesting

Nice hotel, if a little far out... shower hose leaked but apart from that what you would expect from Budget Hotel. Plus great breakfast.

Hotel de Boecks was a very nice place to stay. The staff were very helpful and patient. The morning breakfast was delicious and the room was clean and spacious. I would stay there again.

this was by far the oddest place we stayed in europe. we thought we may have been completely alone in the hotel. seeing other people at breakfast was a complete surprise. seriously, we started jokin about it being either an episode of scooby doo or perhaps a case of clue. very odd. it was nice,...

Excelente hotel. Muy buen desayuno. Lamentablemente queda muy lejos del metro, pero se puede combinar el tramway 91 o 92 con la estación Louis

Very nice hotel. Be careful with what prices they quote you because it can change when you get there! Very good breakfast included. A little bit of a walk from the metro.

The hotel had character! Our only dis-satisfaction is that breakfast was removed as we were trying to serve ourselves thirty minutes earlier than posted. The staff was not willing to allow us time to get some breakfast!

The perfect place to stay if you are looking for someplace cheap with easy access to the city center. Not a place to meet people.

Upon entering the hotel you feel that you are in a grand townhouse, but the rooms are dated ikea. Staff was very helpful and accomodating and breakfast was good. Bear in mind you need to take the tram or metro to the sites.

Pls check again the guide to access the hotel. It is very vague and took me a lot of time to find it. It must be easier if I am instructed by : Tram number (92), what direction (Last destination) and the name of the station that I should get out.

good visit--arrived late one night and left early the next morning, so we didn't have time to observe the "fun." breakfast had lots of variety. people were diverse--families, couples and backpackers. rooms were clean though dimmly-lit. overall, a good stay for the money!

I enjoyed the hostel. Since it was a hotel there was many perks of it being a hotel. Breakfast was a typical european breakfast...fruit, bread, coffee, orange juice, milk, ceral. Hotel was close enough to the metro system and the Tram's was able to move around easily

not a hostel, but a nice cheap hotel in. a bit out from the main attractions but the trams run regularly. clean and affordable, but not the best place to meet other travelers.

However, the room was very small, especially for the price chqrged. We also had to share a single bed, despite reserving for two. The location is in a very quaint part of town, but not very convenient, and the street was quite noisy due to too many fast drivers going by. Overall the place was okay, but I would not stay there again, and I would not recommend it to friendsclose
