The owner, Karel is a genuinly nice man and offer more of a Bed & Breakfast than a hostel. I really want to recommend this place.

I had a really nice time here, it was a lovely place to stay. The only downside was the location: I had to get a tram then a bus to the European Parliament where I was staying, but that hasn't put me off - I've just booked another 5 nights here!

One towlet and shower seems to be not quite enough, but in general friendly nice stuff and clean nice place.

Besides being a bit of a walk from the main part of the city, I loved this hostel. The guy who owns it is very helpful and it's just a nice, friendly atmosphere.

The area was safe and relaxing! the room and toilet were clean! The people are also friendly. "Homy" ambiance. Not that far away from the city center too (around 25mins by tram). Karel was very friendly! Would definitely stay here again!

Distance not inconveniencing; convenient tram connections to most places. A nice park nearby. Host is helpful. Simply ask. Room was quiet, floor and bed linen quite clean. Lampstands dusty. bathroom clean; kitchen clean..

Great guy that runs the place. Treats you as a real guest. It's like he is welcoming you into his home. Gives you maps on your arrival and has good knowledge. Very relaxed place. Good if you want to chill out.

The owner and his dog are really welcoming in an appropriate, genuinely friendly way. Ideal if you're in town for quite a few days and/or there on business but on a low budget. It is a guest house rather than a hostel. Not for you if you want a "party" hostel.close

Pretty nice place, like if you were in your home, I liked it, the only disadvantage is that the place is not in th touristic places so you have to take the railway, but it's ok, not so far, I think 10 minutes. I'd stay there again

As this hostel is in the middle of a living area, it is very good to get a feeling for how people in Brussels live. The host is very friendly and helpfull. I enjoyed my stay there. Christine

Karel is a great guy and it is a lovely place. My only issue is the distance from everything. It makes seeing sights quite difficult and time consuming.

It was a great place to stay, with a great man running it. You can walk to city center if you're willing to walk a good ways, otherwise public transit is close.

A great place to stay, I would definitely recommend it to anyone who is looking for an alternative for impersonal hostel accommodation. The location is not too far from the city centre, only about 10 mins by tram.

I stayed here mostly because the hostels in Brussels were all booked up and this place was the cheapest available. The place was very nice though and the owner is very friendly, enthusiastic and helpful. If I make it Brussels another time and my budget isn't as small, I'd happily stay there again.

Very clean and quiet. A good place if you are looking for a relaxing weekend. Not a party place if that is what youre looking for, but it was the off-season so it was not very busy. Generally a very good place to stay.

I loved staying here! The hosts are so wonderful and my traveling partner and I had some great conversations with them. They also made us breakfast every morning and let us use their internet, all included in the original charge. It was really a wonderful find.
