I went to bruges for 5 nights. I was amazed by the beauty of the city. We hired bikes for the duration of our stay. Each day was enjoyed with visits to museums, churches, boat trip, restaurants and coffee houses. I especially enjoyed spending time with my son in a city steeped in history.… more

Possibly the most beautiful city i've ever visited, easy as well everything is compact and when you drive into the city straight into the underground parking which is directly below the city centre. There wasn't a building I saw which I wouldn't want to live in.

The historic city is beautiful, snowed whilst we were there which was disapointing. The food is not very good and the Bruges waiters are some of the rudes people in the world. The locals however are friendly and recommended some restaurants however it is very expensive. Definately wouldn't go back.

The city was compact and quaint with the most amazing styles of buildings all steeped in history. The cobbled streets were hard on the feet but well worth the trek especially as most large transport is banned.

We had a good time in Bruges, but it was a pretty lazy place. If you\'re going to relax, it\'s great. It\'s very small, so getting around on foot isn\'t a problem speed-wise, but you\'ll have to be an expert navigator to not get lost in this labyrinth. Buy… more

Bruges is a beautiful city, despite the hordes of British tourists. Quaint and medieval, yet lively. The walk up the Belfry\'s stairs is exhausting but definetly worth while, the veiws from the top are amazing, especially if you time your visit for sunset. The Christmas Markets are… more

Unfortunately it rained the whole time we were here, but i was totally mesermised by Brugge! It is the prettiest, greenest most characteristic town! We went to the chocolate museum which was good, worth a look. It is small enough to cover easily by foot. The monday nightlife wasnt too great,… more

A really cute city offering quite some historical sights to visit. Very easy to get around, charming little streets, but clearly a tourist place... Not much to do at night. Good for a weekend-trip, wouldn´t recommend a much longer stay.

Great place to visit. Was one of the many highlights of my travels. Very picturesque town. Canals and cobbled streets, windmills and a large town square. Nice vibe to the place even with the scores of tourists.

Bruges is Belgium's number one city with tourists and there's a reason for that. It's perfect for couples but there's a surprisingly good nightlife there also. You just need to know where to go!

A photographer's dream, the city is beautiful to put it mildly, but as a friend of mine once put it: "what can you buy here, if you don't want chocolate or lace?" LOL! Just about sums up how touristy it is... Even in the depths of winter there are tourists, but in my view winter or early… more

One of the most romantic cities in Europe if you ask me! Medieval cobbled streets and old buildings of beautiful architecture makes you feel like you have stepped back in time. So easy to get to also. Perfect for a romantic weekend break with the better half!!!

Bruges is a small, romantic and sophisticated city, called The Venice of the North because it is surrounded by canals. My first impression of Bruges was that I may have got it wrong and the entire place was a Disney film set complete with Gothic spires, Bruges – red painted shutters,… more
