Definitely a good place to stay if you came to hang out over the weekend for example. The pub downstairs counts as well. However, it was quite unexpected that the entrance was closed from 4 to 8 AM.

There were four roberies here in one month, because every person has an access to the rooms in the hostel. I would not recomend this hostel to anyone.close

This is a very friendly and fun hostel. Pool tables, and foosball make it alot more fun. the rooms are clean and roomy, the toilet facilities are quite nice. the only problem would be lack of staff in the bar area, as on occasion it takes a while to get your room key back.

this place is just somewhere to sleep. there is nowhere to socialise other than the bar (would be great to have a lounge). the key system is not the best - anyone could go and ask for the key to any room, and there are no lockers

This is a Bar first and a hostel second. It is FULL of cigarette smoke. The Bar is very cool otherwise. The rooms were really good though and the toilets and showers were very clean. Tried to cancel our booking but it was never done. The hostel conveniently never contacted me back, so I was charged for staying there even though I didn't.

WATCH THE MOVIE "IN BRUGES" BEFORE COMING HERE!!!!! Mostly clean, cool windows, cheap, bar downstairs, cheap drinks, cool windows, really good location, cool windows, showers can be difficult to use, would come here again!

It's above the bar that goes by the same name so if you want 12 hours sleep, don't come here cos you won't get it. Great location-wise however. Also, they shouldn't charge extra for breakfast- but they do.

We had a private room en suite - the hostel provides linens but does not rent towels, so be sure to bring a towel. Also, our room was very warm with no window and had black mold on the ceiling. Otherwise, the linens were clean and the bathroom was decent.

A cheap and well located hostel. The shared showers could have been better as they were a little unclean and didn't work that well. Worth the stop, and would stay there again.

The showers were cold and the staff were not helpful at all. It was really annoying everytime you left the hostel you had to hand in your key to reception only to come back and find your room unlocked by someone else. They lock the fire escape at night which I think could be dangerous.

absolutely brilliant craic.bar stays open till 4 but it doesnt disturb a good nights sleep either. Good for a rest and a good night out. showers are rubbish but easy to get over that with the good atmosphere.

Our bunk bed was completely detached from its frame in one corner and the other corner was near to breaking too. I hated this hostel, Bruge is an awesome little town and Charlie Rocket ruins it. Too concerned with the bar down stairs. All the lights went out, I think they blew a fuse. It didn't get fixed for hours so none of the bathrooms had light in them. Come on guys, are you running a bar or a place...

A little noisy at night, the bed is not that comfortable, for it inclined whenever I turned around. But I do not know condition of other hostel in the old city Brugge, so no direct comparision. I am not that satisfied maybe because I have a too high expecation.

Kind of O.K. but the personnel isn't very friendly, they make you wait for ever for no good reason but to chat with their collegues. Perfect location. The staff is running a bar at the same time so dont expect them to be very helpful. But if you are only looking for a cheap bed with a good location in Bruges it worth it.

i dont know why there are so many bad reviews about this place! it was fine, as hostels go. pretty clean place over a bar. cheap, and all you need is a bed and a bathroom.

it has a great bar filled with american rock and roll memorabilia but the drinks are a little expensive for backpackers. ice cold showers:(

Lindo hostel, linda ciudad, el unico lugar q no esta muerto despues de las 12 en brujas, si queres tomarte algo esta bueno y si queres dormir no hay problema, lo unico malo el tema de las llaves, pero no es tan grave

this was the worst hostel ive ever stayed at. the staff could care less the hostel. they run a bar downstairs, and that clearly is their priority. very smoky, dark, no lockers, horrible showers, shitty lighting. AVOID THIS PLACE if you can!
