Great place! This is my second time staying, and If I'm ever back, I'll of course stay here.. It's so welcoming, and comfortable, and right in the perfect part of town :) And Maria is the best!

Maria was a wonderful host and made us feel extremely welcome! She even picked us up from the train station (even though it was 11pm) and helped us plan our time in Bruges. Highly recommended if you want to visit Bruges!

very well decorated hostel with great staff. Unusual that there was no key to the room, only to the house itself (room advertised as private). Difficult to find the first night. Maybe include directons or map.

Maria is a marvellous woman, very kind and helpful. House and room was perfectly clean, located on the edge of the old town-perfect place to start a trip around the city. It's one of the best places I've stayed so far. I wish you, Maria, all the best and we are very sorry for the broken lamp...

We felt very welcome at Maria's place, all services are really good. The only setbacks were the heating off all night and there's no curtain on the shower.

She picked us up at the train station, gave us 2 cold beers, and sent us off with great restaurant recommendations, a discount card for the canal boats, and a wonderful guide to Bruges. Her home is on the south end of town, but the town is very small so it's easily walkable. Rooms are very comfortable, especially the cozy attic apartment (with TV!). While the bathroom is shared, we had the place to ourselves for two of the three nights we stayed. The only thing I missed was a stand-up shower. The bathtub has a showerhead on a hose, but it's the spray and hold kind. (I may just be accustomed to American bathrooms.) We had an AMAZING time in Bruges. The town is picturesque and the beer is phenomenal. Visit De Garre bar for sure--it's a real gem--and of course Bruges Zot brewery. Nothing beats the pomme frites stand in the middle of the square where the horse carriages pick up, either (get the andalusian sauce). Then follow Marie's recommendations for restaurants. Her bubbly personality and warm, quirky home will definitely contribute to the quaint, friendly feel of your trip, too. And the coffee won't hurt, either!close
