There is also a little restaurant on the property. The man was amazing and the food was probably the best I had on my trip! I would most certaily stay there again and again and highly recommend it to anyone!close

This castle is a bit out of the way from central Brugge, but its worth the trip for the experience of staying in such a unique place. Great hiking trails nearby.

Very charming castle, with very friendly staff. It is a bit out of the city (a 5 min drive to the centre of Brugge), but in stead there is plenty safe parking. Also, the castle is in the middle of a beautiful forest, perfect for romantic walks.

An unusual hostel<qute difficult to find the main entrance<lovely gardens and a great breakfast. It would help if there was a bin in the room. The restaurant Mary tudor is next door to the hostel and should be advertised in the Hostel write up. Great food and cheap prices. Loved staying here.

AWESOME!! It was beautiful! Bring your walking shoes because the yard and trails around are amazing. The huge breakfast was delicious. The only down side is it being a little far from town with the only way of getting there by taxi. But it was well worth it!

In general I liked the hotel and certainly I would come back. The owner is very kind and helpful. The only thing I missed was a curtain in the shower. It was difficult to take a shower without making a mess in the bathroom...

Excellent location if you are driving (very easy to drive into Bruge). Fantastic service and loads of character. We've stayed twice and will be back! Thanks.

The staff were very friendly, and happy to drive us in to the city and pick us up after dinner (it would be a bit far to walk, otherwise, and there doesn't seem to be much in the way of public transport - you'd probably need to get a taxi if you were out late). The room - on the very top floor - was nicely furnished in an antique style. The bath/shower is in the room, which is a little odd, but not really an issue (unless you are particularly shy - there's also no shower curtain). Only small matters worth mentioning were that the television in our room didn't work (or I couldn't figure out how), the key to open/lock the room was a challenge, and we could have used a bit more information about the hotel when we first arrived (how to get in contact with the staff, what time breakfast is served, the fact that we could request a lift into town, etc.). Good points include the chance to stay in a unique castle with lots of character and history, the country setting, with lots of opportunities to stroll around in the woods, and the marvelous breakfast in the sun-filled dining room. All in all, we really enjoyed our stay.close

Wonderful place for a couple, or someone who wants to enjoy a quiet place surrounded by nature. Top quality breakfast and they will take you to town and pick up you up whenever you wish (once a day). Highly recommended.

The castle is very cute, the rooms clean - what else could you ask for for a price like that?? It is quite, as long as there are no room neighbors, I guess. We enjoyed our stay - Thank you!close

What a great spot. A hidden treasure. Room was much cheaper than Paris, and room was four times as big. OK, it wasn't in Paris, but Brugges was wonderful as well.

The map displayed on the hostelworld website is extremely incorrect and lead to us driving around Brugge city centre in circles, please correct it!
