I was there with my girlfriend in double room with private restroom. It was so clean, spotless. The owner is very friendly and helpful. She also speaks English fluently; something that you will need before you go out in Brasov. I highly recommend getting the double room on the top if available....more I was there with my girlfriend in double room with private restroom. It was so clean, spotless. Ski resort just the other side of the mountain, loads of places to drink/eat cheap, you seriously will fall in love with Brasov and just how cute the place is. Its small enough to do all the sights on foot, it has a "hollywood" style BRASOV sign on top of the mountain wich has a cable car running to the top and you can get great aerial shots of the city. This has probably been one of my top 5 citys in Europeclose

Brasov's a great city. Of particular interest is the Ethnographic museum, which had a punchcard loom, the design that essentially invented the "computer." It still works, and if you ask, they can demonstrate it. It rained every day we were there, in varying amounts, so be sure to be prepared...more Brasov's a great city. Buses are GREAT value but check return times carefully. If there are a few of u then taxis can be cheaper! Dont walk or lie on the grass in the park in Brasov - you'll be fined!! There are loads of cheap places to eat and a great variety of food although you have to pay extra for potatoes, veg etc. Very few of them give you service with a smile but when you do find one that does it will become your favorite! Don't drink outside in the street unless its at a cafe or pub on the sidewalk. Its illegal!!close

But fair warning, as in any city in Romania, Brasov is EXTREMELY bad about pick pockets, getting the fair price, and just being secure. Watch your stuff closely. Especially at the train station. But if you are careful, it is a great place to see and stay in for a few days. There is a lot to do and see and a GREAT city to be your base as you venture out to the other cool nearby cities: Sigasoara, Sinai, etc.close

The rooms are spotless and all new. The location is great - you can walk to the train station and to the city center. The owners are fantastic and incredibly helpful. The only downside is that the shared kitchen is also the place where people can smoke, so cooking can be a bit of a smelly...
