How can the address for this place be Bordeaux?! It takes an hour on public transport to get into Bordeaux city centre. So if you want to see Bordeaux, Don't stay here! They claim to let guests use the swimming pool, but when we asked we were told no and not given any reason as to why. Breakfast... more

Watch Out - This hostel is nearby the motorway ring of Bordeaux and about one hour by bus and tram from the main railway station. Googlemaps tells different things on the first look.

Good place to stay if you have a car. Its pretty far out from Bordeaux, though. It works pretty well a cheap overnight place. Nice and clean and had a pool.

shower overflowed and room smelled horrible, it is literally 45 minutes out of town, so a lot of time is wasted in transit, and the staff made me pay the total amount even though i had already paid the 10% deposit already- hard to explain when they barely speak english. its not a hostel, and its...

The description of Etoile Bleue is a bit deceiving. It IS a couple of minutes from the city center, but NOT the city center of Bordeaux. It's near the city center of MERIGNAC. You can still however get to Bordeaux by Tram. The station is a 15-20 minute walk away. The place was very clean and... more

Difficult to find, to far from the city. What a pity because you cannot get a real authentic impression from Bordeaux.

More a motel than a hostel, no cooking facilities or fridge, quite difficult to get to on public transport. Wouldn't stay this far out of town again with no self-catering facilities.

the 601 bus DOES NOT DROP OFF outside the hotel!! it will only collect travellers and not set them down there so it ended up costing us 45 euros to get there!!

so remote - at least an hour by public transportation or a 50 euro cab ride from the train station... surrounded by abandoned strip malls and highway . not worth saving a few extra $$$!!!! also very dirty - shower drain did not function, bugs in the room, and mice on the doorstep

Room smelled smoky enough for me to leave the window open on a fairly cold and rainy night. Otherwise, comfortable and clean. Perfect location for the business traveler or for proximity to the airport.

Clean, decent accommodations in a motel. The staff is incredibly helpful and friendly. This motel is in a Bordeaux subburb (Merignac), which is in the middle of nowhere. It's surrounded by industrial buildings, with a couple fast food joints and a grocery store 15-20 min walk away. Wifi is not in... more
