A long way out of town. Staff very moody and not very helpful. No path from bus stop to hostel - I got clipped by a car on the walk!

Too far from the centre... lacks a social atmosphere and reminded me of a prison! is however secure with generally helpful staff.

This place is in the middle of nowhere. They give you horrible directions to and from the hostel. The bathrooms are disgusting and full of bugs, and the breakfast is a joke.

If you enjoy being lost for three hours attempting to find this place, then go for it! Extra joys included, a shower that made you stand in water and a terrible breakfast that you recieved a piece of bread for!

I think that since you have a kitchen, and are located so far out, you should let people do their own cooking, because eating out every night is expensive, and a hassle when we have to catch the bus back. Also, I think the breakfast is a little stingy.

Very far from the middle of town. There's a sign outside of the hostel building that says "Entering Bologna". If you keep your sense of humor about it, then you'll be fine. Luckily it's only one bus ride away. (No transfers.) A bit more spacious than...

I don't think they cleaned either the room of the common bathrooms once in during the 4 days i spent there. You really get what you pay for. The hostel is way out of town, and there are no fun people to meet, only older creepy italian crazies

But they gave no directions on how to find these buses, in particular on a Saturday/Sunday. So, email them before you go, and get explicit directions on how to get a bus from the Stazione Centrale, and make sure to let them know what day of the week you are arriving. But, you might be better off paying a bit more and staying in city center. The latest you can stay in the city and still get a bus home is 12:44 at night, and in a college town in a country where the nightlife doesn't begin until after midnight, quarter to one is not late enough. Bathrooms were dirty, odor of cigarettes everywhere. Take a lock with you for your locker. Great staff though...sorry for the bad review guys.close

While it's a bit of a trek from town the place is pretty good and the other reviews were a bit harsh! Breakfast was good and rooms and bathrooms were clean. Good place to stay with a big supermarket about 10 mins walk away where you can buy pre cooked food.

hostel is very far outside bologna. we almost got stuck there and missed our train because they had run out of bus tickets (which they said they sold!) that morning and until we repeatedly asked didn't offer any help on the matter. Only upshot was that the rooms were pretty clean.

I had a great stay at this hostel. Friendly staff. Beautiful place -smell of grass and trees and spring. The hostel itself was average but at this price its great. And the directions for the hostel were very helpful and accurate. I would stay there again if i ever come back to Bologna.

As a single traveller i would not recommend this place at night found transport difficult, unless you want to head back from town by 9:30pm. The included breakfast was a bread roll, but hey you get what you pay for. But the place & room was nice and clean

It was totally forbidden for example to stay on the bed in the room while she wiped the floors, not even in the common area. Instead I was sent outside in cold weather and rain pooring down (I was under a roof though but anyway). When my friend, after 45 minutes, tried to go to our room to get something we had forgot she was immediately sent out. Then we gave up and went to Bolgna centre in the rain.close

I ended up having to pay for an extra bed after I had canceled the reservation a few days in advance. The staff were all rude and unwelcoming. Also, it seemed that we were being reprimanded for breaking rules that didn't exist--specifically, being in each other's rooms and needing to buy a hostel card before staying in the hostel (something I was told would earn us a discount, but was not a requirement). In addition, the location was incredibly inconvenient and there was no effort amongst the staff to help us find transportation. All in all, the worst Hostel experience I have ever had. I would not recommend it to anyone.close

It's also not a place you want to go for fun, it's a place to eat and sleep, they did have a variety of movies you could watch at no cost, that was nice. The area did have character, it was nice to smell autumn. It was fairly cleanly.. but it could be worked on. I enjoyed my stay there, it was a fairly average place, but it worked!close
