Beautiful. It mostly rained but the scenery was dazzling in the couple hours when the sky cleared. Slovenian food is stellar. Slovenian people too. We were there in winter so the weather wasn\'t ideal, but it was good enough to take a stroll around the lake and hike up to the castle. In isolation it would be quite boring (but good for relaxation) but thankfully there is lots to do in the local area. Make sure to get to the Vintgar Gorge, which is about 3Km from Bled-if you are feeling energetic it is about an hour's walk. We also went rafting on the Sava river-try to avoid it before 11 as the dam at the HEP station is released at about this time and you may end up carrying the raft otherwise. The river is quite tame but I thought it was worth it as you do get the chance to jump off an 8m high cable bridge. Of the other activities I heard that canyoning is supposed to be amazing fun. So, whether you're after relaxation or activities Bled is perfect.close

We've heard the nightlife is good but didnt get a chance to enjoy it. I would imagine though that if you are young and looking for more activities then being in Bled for more than a day or two may become boring. Don't skip it though-it is Beautiful!close

Bled was really amazing. Slovenia was EVEN MORE AMAZING! People are so humble there and it's tourist friendly (although it's not a tourist trap yet). Slovenians speak good English and are very knowledgeable. Visit this place before it becomes too touristy. It's really amazing. I enjoyed my visit...more Bled was really amazing. Top Rated Bled Places to Stay

  1. Reka Hisa 96%

Beautiful location beside the river, a short bus journey from Lake Bled and Bohinj. Accommodation is of a very high standard and owners are very welcoming. Excellent home cooked dinners. Note the bus drops you on the main road, a 5min walk from the property although there are no pavements....

Very easy to find from the bus station. Twin private room was lovely! Shared bathrooms always kept very clean. Kitchen and lounge was well equipt. Free internet access. Free washing facilities, buy own powder, supermarket across the road. Needed to stay another night and easy enough to book...

A quirky little hideaway, with good room and breakfast. Recommended if you are not too worried about being right in the centre of Bled, but like a beautiful, peaceful location that is still handy.
