The town itself is quite compact and easy to get around. We stayed in Radisson which is probably not the most central of places to stay but kids enjoyed the roof top pool. Nice beaches and aquarium worth a vist. Not sure if there'd be enough to do here for a longer trip.close

I went to Biarritz for the day from San Sebastian. The bus ticket was about €11 and well worth it. Biarritz is really pretty with lots of cafes and bars. La Grande Plage is lovely, a real surfers paradise. I was only there for the day but Biarritz seems to have a lot going for it. I'll...more I went to Biarritz for the day from San Sebastian. Radisson SAS Hotel, Biarritz 100%
Great hotel for relaxing, cool rooftop pool and terrace. Transat Cafe on the roof does great lunches and dinners with a fab view. Comfy rooms, good service, great spa. Ask for an ocean view room.

Excellent French restaurant in the Les Halles district of Biarritz. I tasted all 4 starters and mains and all were great and not outrageous prices either. Moroccan Tagine was exquisite!!

This place has a nice outdoor seating area in the centre of Biarritz. The service was great but I thought it was quite pricey for 2 coffess and 2 crepes.

Newquay80%
English / Irish pub in the square in Biarritz. Probably more pricey than some of the local bars, but a good place to watch sport - they show all the rugby and football games on sky.
