Great stories and history to read about at this museum but just way too much info to get through and the museum is usually packed so you are pushed along rather than being able to take your time. It gets very hot in there as well. I would recommend the visit but prepared to get frustrated.

I found it to be highly educational, utterly moving, and if I was to be honest, a little boring. It could be a little bit more interactive and and the audio tutorials tend to drag on a bit, which makes you a bit impatient but overall highly enjoyable. The official Berlin guidebook says to allow an hour, I would say allow at least two. The museum basically deals with The Cold War, Checkpoint Charlie, The Wall, The 1948 Airlift and Post-WWII life in a divided city. The tour is expensive for what you get, a tenner a pop i think. The audio tour costs a little bit more, but is worth it... A must see for any visit to Berlin, be it a day-trip or extended visitclose
