Very expensive for what it was. We were moved out of our nice (cheaper) room on the second night to a double the price shoebox room. Would never stay here again! Takes 20 minutes by train to the centre

This is a very quiet plain hotel.. nothing much.. a room with a shower, breakfast was pretty good. Staff were not very knowledgable about tourist stuff in Berlin, and were not that pleasant at reception.

This hostel was extremely comfortable and the rooms were very nice! The only problem was that with the two different locations, it made it difficult to know which one to go to for check-in. My only wish would be for the staff to be slightly more organized with the check-in process.

I'd advise just booking into a hostel instead and saving yourself the trouble of spending money on accommodation that doesn't give you anything extra, as well as having moody staff, smoky rooms, and an unappealing breakfast spread.close

It is the furthest thing from a hotel i have ever seen in my life. I have travelled all over europe on diffferent trips and vacations and week end breaks and this is by far the worst accomodation i have ever set my eyes on. we booked ourselves into a twin room ensuite and to our sad dissapointment, the ensuite was a cardboard box with taps attached to it and a shower curtain in the corner of the room, and the shared bathroom was down a very badly lit corridor!! I would under any circumstances recomend this property.close

It is a bit of a walk from the U & S-Bahn but the neighbourhood is really nice. The breakfast is not that great and the staff doesn't speak english. However, all in all I liked the hotel.

The problem is employees (and probably the owner) dont speak a word of English. Breakfast is good so as prices. You wont find many young people. I recommend it primary to families.

Our deposit of 900EUR was sent by telegraphic transfer in advance prior to our trip because it being the world cup season, they claimed all payments had to be in advance. Upon arrival, and armed with the proof of transfer, we were told it had not been received and that we were to pay on the spot 1125EUR for the inconvenience. Arguments ensued and a call followed to our local bank, which was closing by then. We refused to pay any additional money, and the staff then told us to get lost because we couldnt afford it. (??-but we had paid!) what was worse- two swedish guys checking in at the same time were also told their transfer had not reached. they then stupidly paid upfront and halted the transfer. (If the money has reached the other party's bank, the only way to know for sure is if the other party produces a receipt-and they werent about to do that.)I was amazed at this willingness to be duped. DFurthermore, one of our party had reached a day earlier and his belongings, which were in the room, had been ransacked. we later discovered key documents stolen! This hotel is shady and runs a scam- obviously, they wanted to put us in a situation where we had no choice but to pay (again) upfront upon arrival or risk having no place to sleep. Especially during the World Cup, these fricking Eastern European crooks were out to cheat anyone they could. Sleazy, the place was creaking and threatened to fall apart everytime a train rumbled past. Also other travellers told us it could be a blessing that we weren't staying- to quote one Brit, he said it was "the single WORST hotel/hellhole he had ever stayed at."close

Rooms were nice. The staff could have recommended a few things to do and see. We felt like we were on our own once we arrived. Neighboor hood was excellent with a close stop from the main metro system. Overall, I would consider staying there again.

the private bathrooms in this hotel/hostel only consist of a sink and a shower. The toilets are shared by all rooms, however they were all very clean and accessible.

This hotel is a last resort. If you can`t find anything else. They have difficulty with their booking system that causes a great deal of problems upon arrival. They also tried to charge us the deposit that we had alredy paid. Don`t bother it is not worth the hassel.

Be aware of lack of spoken Emglish which does complicate matters. The receptionist could not understand that we had paid a deposit and was reluctant to allow us to pay less the deposit. Good location with buses to Zoo station across the road.
