In my opinion, the quality/price report is very good. If I'll go in Berlin some other time, I'll try to go again at Gastainer Hoff.

One of the best budget hotel I've ever been, esp. for the cheap price. Quiet and clean and great breakfast! Underground, snack bars, Lidl (supermarket) are just near around. Highly recommended.

This hotel was a welcome change from the sort of establishments that all look the same. The room was furnished simply but with character, the beds extremely comfortable, it was very warm, which was great - it was snowing in Berlin for our stay. Breakfasts were buffet style and delicious. We're going back. 1/2 hour walk from the centre of town, but 1 minute away from a U-bahn stop.close

We found the Gasteiner Hof Hotel to be extreamly good value for money whilst on our recent trip of Europe. The Staff were extreamly helpful and friendly, and the inclusive breakfast of cheese and cold meets faultless. Thankyou very much.

This hotel was a great deal money-wise: it was clean, comfortable, and the breakfast was great (compared to other hostels I have stayed at, where you're lucky if you get more than a roll and some coffee--here they had a nice spread). The staff was also great--they greeted us at the door by name and were very accomodating when we wanted to check in early and leave our bags there the last afternoon of our stay. However, if you're looking for anything more than a place to crash, I would go somewhere else. The rooms were large, but somewhat strangely pieced together. It was quiet, but we were also there in January. Overall, I would recommend it -- it is a great deal for the price (as of Jan. 2005, 35-40 Euro a night for two people total).close

A very nice, hostel. I stayed twice. The Best rooms are the double twin ensuite. Near the U-Baun. Very clean and safe.

The shower temp was a little erratic...a cod shower is no fun when its raining outside. But other than that it was nice.

You should correct your records, telephon number (030-861 19 49 is correct - your last digit -3- is wrong) and address (Gasteiner Str. 9 is wrong - Gasteiner Str. 8 is correct, as shown on your e-mail confirmation/statement. For people/travellers, who visit Berlin for the first time, this might be confusing and also frustrating, because the street splits and continues on the other side of the cross road, and when they call the phone number mentioned by you and they get a recorded answer, that this connection is out of operation.
