Me and my GF came here to shop, chill, and get some historical memories. The hostel is a perfect place for couples. The staff is great; gave u a good introduction about the city, safety, map and metro. Also help full on other questions. The room we had was clean and comfy. Great location, but nothing special. They're pretty anal about their random rules, but it was ok. It was pretty random, but the room was clean, warm and nice.

The location of this hostel was great as it was so close to the train station for us getting our train to the airport. The twin room had bunk beds. It seems more a hostel for just sleeping in rather than meeting people but with the amount of bars near by and sites in Berlin thats all you...

The code system for the door need to be updated. No light outside to see the numbers. Peoples get angry when it does'nt work in the middle of the night. Even if the buzzer is off that does'nt stop them to barge in the door and waking up those who sleep in the room next to the door. For the... more The code system for the door need to be updated. No lockers in room but there was a safe at reception, lock on the room door and the front door to the hostel is coded. Not enough showers, only 2 for the whole hostel and only 3 toilets. Staff were friendly and helpful and the hostel was cleaned every day. Amazing vibe, cozy and very friendly. Met some amazing people there that I continued to travel with for weeks after. Staff are friendly (and the one girl is really hot)

Doble room really small, there is only bed plus one meter square. Hot water finished during my shower. I have never booked hostel before so mayby that is the reason I expected something more. It was very nice to have a parking possibility at the hostel, but the downside of it was that the car was only accessible during the rather limited opening hours of the reception.

Shower was a shocker- its like its spitting at you. Was a little strange calling the staff to check us in when the phone number on the board said "ring in case of emergency only".

Owner is very helpful and informative. Had given us the largest room he has because we brought our 1 year old daughter along. How very thoughtful.. Room is very0very clean and quiet, surely be there again for another visit.

Matt is excellent - he's a traveller himself so understand the basic needs on what a hostel should have to make you feel comfortable. Location is very convenient, and you can find great tourist information from the hostel.

Large, modest rooms. Seemed newly renovated. Stayed in a private room with bath which was clean and nice. Supposed to be a non smoking hostel though think people do smoke in the private rooms because smelled a little of smoke. Location is good, close to train station and not a bad walk to main...

great, simple, clean hostel. manager gave me a discount. everything was as advertised and the location is great. if i need a hostel in berlin again i will use eastener and recommend it to my friends

Nice quiet hostel, staff are really friendly, dont expect a lie in thought the owner has a bit of a booming voice, only one comp for internet access as well.

The location couldn't be better. It's right by where all the bars and pubs are but in a quiet street and just a few minutes away from Brandemburger Tor. Very helpful and friendly staff. If I came back to Berlin, I would definitely stay again at this hostel.

Pretty decent all round, nice and small so it was easy to meet people. The kitchen is pretty small and basic but its close to places to eat out or get takeaway. Id stay again

our room (twin with ensuite) was tiny with bunk beds, and the bathroom very cramped. had to pay extra for bedding (3 euro per person) but towels were not provided. shared kitchen is ok and the place was clean. breakfast not included, but there's a good buffet breakfast across the street at a cafe...

This was our second stay, as we've also been here in february 2008. Nothing much had changed, though it was warmer in the rooms. There was a bit of a mix-up with the rooms, so we got the one room in the lodge where the bath/wc is separate from the room (room 7). I loved this hostel! Met amazing people here, the staff were nice n payed attention to you, giving it a personal touch. Fantastic location, compfy nite sleep. But it is small i'll warn, with only to showers for 5 bedrooms however i didn't find this to be a problem. free internet n coffee :)
