Loved it. Loved the location, close walking distance to a great restaurant/art strip. The building has such history and character. The host was very helpful and friendly. It made Berlin a great part of our trip.

Fridge was broken but Greg refunded us some money and tried to replace it. Wasn't a huge problem for us. Overall the accomodation was nice. Greg (host) was very cool. I would recommend staying here despite minor issues which i'm sure Greg will sort out.close

This was a really great place to stay - a room in a very cool apartment in Friedrichshain. Right near a street of restaurants and bars, easy to access by metro. Greg was incredibly helpful, and made a wonderful breakfast in the morning. Low fun rating is a good thing - it was a sanctuary from...

Fantastic place. Only wish we could have had more time there. The location is great, in a cool part of the East, and 2 mins from the UBahn. The host is also great - very helpful and the breakfast is amazing.

Cool place, Host (Greg) was extremely helpful. Waist height shower was a bit weird but the location and setting more than made up for it. I wouldn't hesitate in recommending Itowe gallery to any one. Brilliant for a couple as you get your own kitchen and bathroom but only pay hostel prices.

This was the best place we stayed in over three months of travelling. We stayed one night at the gallery itself, where Greg served a breakfast worthy of a four star hotel and did our washing. The other nights we stayed at the apartment in a 120 year old building, which was also brilliant, except...

This hotel is very nice; staff, food, room and location but we had to chage our plan because another customer would come in the morning so we were asked to move out the room without informing us early about checking out time when we first arrived.

This place was great, perfect for couples. Greg is super sweet and helpful, the bathroom is sparkling, the breakfast is fantastic, and the robes are a nice touch. There were frequently some sketchy people hanging around outside, but they seem to be harmless.

We had a great stay at the Itowe Gallery. Greg was very helpful in filling us in on the 'must dos' of the local area. It's ideally located with a more edgy, but safe, scene. Would recommend this place to anyone!

He has some great tips as well, as to where to go & what to do and see. The room in the church is unreal- if you stay there, think of where you are staying from a birds eye point of view- so cool. The bed, ah the bed, I only wish we could have brought it back with us! What else- shower is great, though you need to get to know it at first-if you tweak that Greg, then I'm sure you'll have one of the best places in Berlin. Better than a boring hotel. Thanks Greg!! Breakfast was great. Room was very comfortable & clean. Lots of urban art, aka, graffiti, adds to the character of the East Berlin neighborhood. But walls are thin and neighbors in the surrounding flats can be loud (especially on weekends).
