Nice big japanese style room. A little hard to find at first, but it is close to the station, bus, sake and restaurants. Very friendly and helpful staff. Bath was not quite hot enough.

The hostel is a 5-10 min walk from Beppu station and near to convenience stores, restaurants and the sea. The staff are friendly and helpful. The rooms are spacious and clean. I stayed in the Japanese style twin and it was beautiful. The kitchen is large and clean. The free onsen is heavenly, but be warned if you are self concious, its public, as are the showers (but both are split genders). There is a large TV and internet access on public computers and wireless in all the rooms. This place is great value for money and I certainly recommend it to those wanting a relaxing time in Japan.close

This hostel was a little way out of town, but still walking distance. Have a great Onsen downstairs though once it was too hot even to get in. We had a friend come to visit who was asked to leave because she was not staying at the hostel. Not very nice. other than that cannot really fault it.

We didn't sleep in this hostel. The beds was bunk beds, and the bathroom few pleasing. We have prefered to pay the penalties and find a more attractive hostel.

Nice Hostel in a great location with v helpfull stuff. The owner and other of the stuff will help you with absolutelly everything. The only one minus is that the only one shower is public bath/onsen stuff so if you dont like to be without any clothes, choose a double room ensuite! Nice Hostel!!

Staff are friendly and helpful. Cheap price for rooms but rooms are too small and without own facilities. you can only enjoy those facilities publicly. not too convenient for couple in this way.

This hostel was so nice to stay in. It's a little hard to find though close to the beach and onsens. I got lost trying to find it but the staff came and found *me* when I called them. I was very impressed. I loved the mood of the place, and the hot pool/onsen was small but great.

Very average, theres a good variety of books in their little library and a nice kitchen, however, the shared bathroom IS the onsen room, so there are no private showers at all. But the onsen was nice!

A sign should be put on the bath door to let people know not to enter the bathroom if they're not having a bath. I had a slightly unpleasant experience where I was having a bath and a woman walked in fully clothed to just 'look around'. It was very embarrassing.
