The city was so bad. It's like a city where nobody cares about. Few restaurants are nice but don't want to go back again! |

Belfast has this underground feel to it, like there is stuff going on everywhere but you have to know it to find it. People are friendly, there are a few unique fashion shops, good bars and restaurants. Ask people where to go! Take the local bus instead of the black taxi to look at the murals, then walk back into town - gives more a feel of the divided city. Film festival in April is great. Botanical garden is beautiful. |

Nice city and nice people.
It could be better if shops stayed open a bit longer.
Pub foods are great value. |

We had an amazing time for St Patricks weekend! The people are lovely! (apart from the staff at the linen house hostel) |

Keep in mind that their kitchen closes at 9:30 PM .... so if you will be doing cooking make sure to eat early :) |

We went to Belfast to see the amazing Tiesto! Was an amazing concert. Belfast was a brilliant city, plenty of relaxing, plenty of shops and places to eat. Cash machines in abundance. Had a fantastic time in a city of fantastic people! |

Weather can be dicey and when it rains Belfast is alittle grey. However the people are lovely and the night life is very good. Try the Beat the clock value for money offers between 5 and 7pm in places like Benedicts where we wouldn't normally have been able to afford to eat. |

The activities at St. Patrick´s Day and the atmosphere was not what I expected, there was no real life in it, it seemed. May be my perception.. The park at Queen´s Uni is nice. |

we come to belfast for a familyvisit. The nice city is an extra. This time we had dinner at some lovely restuarants, had a drink in a pub, went on a bustour in the countryside, visited the Zoo. Had a lovely time. Taxis are real value for money. People are nice and helpfull (though the accent is difficult). City Hall is beautifull!! We will be back! |

actually i was quite disappointed with Belfast. you cannot find many things to see in this city to be honest. but you can find many symbols of Christianity, if you are christian. |

Belfast is a boring, ugly, has a lot of disaffected teenager who hanging around, looks like every other industry town. I spent there 3 days and could find something beauty. Only the botanic garden was nice. |

Was a good city for a weekend break away. Useful to maybe hire a car to check out the coastal areas as we did. |

Belfast is a great city. It's a pleasure to be here - there's so much to see & do. I've also found the people very helpful & friendly. I love it & I want to live here! |

Belfast was definitely a lovely little city, but I guess coming from London I really found it small. Apart from eating/drinking there wasn't all that much to do...although went to a brilliant comedy night at the waterfront hall. If you plan on going its definitely worth making a little plan in advance (shows, plays etc - as they sell out quick) and being willing to travel outside the city. Went on a paddywagon tour to giant's causeway/derry which was definitely worth it...if you go to Belfast for more than a day its definitely worth seeing how pretty the rest of Northern Ireland is. |

The city seems to be perched on the edge of a major change. Only about ten years after major bombing and only a few years after strangers could roam certain neighborhoods without getting one upside the head, it's just now starting the slow climb toward reclamation. Much construction points to a turn-around toward tourist dollar hopes, but as of now it lacks charm, although it has character and history covered. |

The political perils of the past have left their mark, and the city isn't ready for tourists yet. The competition with the Irish economy renders Northern Island too poor and uninviting for the traveller. All in all, I would not recommend it except for the excellent scenery. |

We can recommend this city for a short and even for a longer trip. The black taxi tour is a real must as you will be shown the city from a real Northern Irish person´s point of view! The Paddywagontour is also fantastic and takes you to the Giant´s causeway, to Derry, Carrick-a-rede Rope Bridge etc. It is really great. People are very nice and so very helpful! Go to Belfast, it is worth it! |

Belfast is a great city. First and foremost the people are incredibly friendly and accomodating. A black cab tour was a great way to review the city's history. The Botanic Gardens were beautiful , especially the glasshouse. The shopping is as good as any city in Europe. |

Myself and my family decided to go to Belfast for a short break to enjoy the Titanic made in Belfast Anniversary weekend. We booked into The Belfast International youth Hostel which we were overly impressed with. During our stay we ate out everyday and found the food delicious and service brilliant as well as being amazing value for money with some establishments doing offers such as free drink with meals and free fruit with kids meals etc. We didnt attend any pubs/niteclubs as we had our young children with us but at night the area we stayed in looked pretty lively. The shopping Centres have shops to suit all tastes as well as lots of different styles of cafes and fastfood restaurants. The sights were excellent and a must for any titanic fans especially at that time of year. The weather that weekend was wonderful, fri sat and sun were all beautiful bright sunny days, perfect for chilling out on the grass. Eating out and drinking is considerably cheaper than Dublin and the events we attended were also brilliant value for money and many of them were free. I'd really recommend the titanic lagan boat tour with friendly and informative guides. The Belfast Welcome Centre has brilliant staff who will help with any query. One small drawback was public transport, there never seemed to be a taxi when you need one and loads when you dont but its the same everywhere I suppose. Overall my family and myself really enjoyed our trip and hope to return again next year. |

fun in belfast |

I kind of like Belfast, it's a city that is changing so quickly. One has to see the Murals and I also like walking around in the city centre. It's a nice day trip if you are in ireland, don't plan to spend too much time in Belfast though |

Belfast has some nice parts and some interesting history, of course, but it's not a city that I would recommend to tourists other than visiting those just for a day. The very center of the city is decent with good shopping and areas outside the city like hollywood are pictoresque but that's about it.
Go see the Odyssey Arena and the W5 Center. |

WONDERFUL - LOVELY FRIENDLY PEOPLE - LOTS TO SEE & DO - DON'T GO THERE DURING THE ORANGE PARADE THOUGH (UNLESS OF COURSE THATS THE PURPOSE FOR YOUR VISIT) AS MOST THINGS SHUT (NOT JUST FOR THE DAY). SHOPS OPEN DAY AFTER BANK HOLIDAY BUT OTHER ATTRACTIONS CIVIC BUILDING ETC ETC CLOSED UNTIL THE FOLLOWING WEEK. DO TOUR AROUND - LOVELY SCENERY - AND VISIT LONDONDERRY. |

I'm in Belfast visiting my friends allot and have never been disapointed, the pubs are so original, the best bar for the banter is 'Auntie Annies'. theres good clubs one inparticular 'the limelight' it's such a fun place and the people are so friendly. Belfast is overall a good place to go. I'm away there again this weekend and am gonna have a blast. |

I moved to Belfast in March 2007 as I loved it that much. The people are great and if you visit her, try and meet some Irish people as they will show you the best 'craic' (FUN!) Great pubs to go to are Kelly's, Maddens and the Spaniard - with some great Irish music and yummy food. You could spend a week here if you look outside the box. Whites Tavern is tucked away near Dunnes as well. Go on a Paddywagon tour to Giant's Causeway, Rope bridge and Derry, then one to Bushmills Whiskey Dist. Limelight has Comedy night, go to the Opera house, and take a Black Cab tour which gives you a great impartial political tour of the Shankill and Falls Road, Divis flats, murals , peace wall, etc etc. It opens your eyes and makes you realise that Belfast is still divided in a huge way. Zoo is OK, Belfast Castle is good as well. It's been the biggest culture shock moving to Belfast out of my 2 years away from Australia, but the most enjoyable, welcoming city and people of all. |

A lot of historical sights in the city worth looking for |

so much fun, and the place we stayed is really close to the town and everything. Great shops. |

dont spend too long here but its nice. do a black taxi tour!! |

I think the title explains the majority of it. Many things are just ridicuously high, especially when you convert from euro. Come to Belfast for an enjoyable, expensive trip!! |

There aren\'t so many sightseeing points in Belfast, but it is a very nice place, and easy to get around in. It isn\'t really very different then other big cities really... |

Only stayed here b/c everywhere else was booked. Good location but would not stay here again. Big and unfriendly |
|

 |
most laid-back, fun hostel I\'ve ever been to |
|
|
 |
Spent four days here in February. The city can seem a little grim at first and there are some run down areas even in city center, but it\'s worth the visit due to historical reasons alone. |

Great small city with everything close by. Nice shopping centres. The only negative thing is the weather! but who cares?;) |
|
|

There isn\'t a ton of stuff to do in Belfast, but the good news is that most of it is free! Unfortunately both the City Hall and the Ulster Museum are closed until late 2008 for renovation. Belfast is very walkable, but if you have to take the bus, a day ticket is cheaper than 2 one-way tickets. |
