I heard lots of people talking about this restaurant and they all said it was a good place to go for paella. We couldn't make a reservation for the Saturday night as they were full so we were told to just turn up. When we did there was a queue of people outside. Always a good sign! The queue moved very quickly and we were brought to our table. The menu is varied and includes lot of meat and fish choices as well as paella. The starter of mussels in marinera sauce was excellent and is definitely enough for 2 people. I went for the mixed fish and meat paella which was also very good. This restaurant opened in 1836 and the building is a national monument. With its black and white tiled floor and piano playing in the background it is a nice place to enjoy Cataln food in an intimate setting. My one small gripe was that I found the service quite slow but other than that highly recommended.close

78A fantastic place to go and have excellent food and a taste of Barcelona life. Popular with tourists and locals, the food is excellent, service freindly and the music perfectly suited to the mood of a leisurly evening. Highly recommended!
