excellent location and safe entry and very clean but old furnishings. Lift was broken for all our stay and although we were on the 2nd floor(where rooms start) it was actually 3 flights. Also we were situated at back so air con unit from building behind was v noisy. Overpriced for facilities and... more excellent location and safe entry and very clean but old furnishings. This hotel is amazing! The location is brilliant for the hustle and bustle of Barcelona. Would gladly stay there again!

It was somewhat strange that we had to walk through a watch store to find reception. The room was decent but overpriced - I guess you pay for the location though which was fabulous.

Location is nice (Plaza Catalunya) and if you have the view at the Plaza, it's nice, but the room was small according to the price. The personnel is friendly and the hostel is open 24 hours a day.

The staff were mostly friendly, but balked a bit when we tried to bring some friends of ours with us up to the room. They seemed to give us a bit of attitude after that, but overall a great place!close

This is not a hostel. It is a hotel, and its a good one. The rooms are small, but if you get one with a good view it is well worth it.

Nice stay for a nice price, i`m satisfied. The ony thing i didn`t like was the walls, they should be more soundproof..! You could hear the hole floor from your bed. But perfect located in the city.!

Very nice hotel - located right in the center of town. The staff were very helpful even with odd requests. Very close to the metro and walking distance from many locations. Great deal for the price!!!

this hotel was in a great location in the center of Barcelona with easy access to the metro...(practically right outside of the hotel) and was very reasonably priced. The room was very clean as well. I highly recommend this hotel. It is great for any kind of traveler.

Security was my one concern. It seemed to me that anybody could walk in and ask for our room key. Now, if they were taking our picture and verifying it on the computer screen, they never let us know that. I don't think they were, though. Otherwise a fine hotel in an very convenient location for...

The location is great, especially if you want to check out more than las ramblas. However, the room was smaller than expected, and the balcony was big enough for only one person to stand on. The rooms are small for 85 euros. I would recommend it for those going to party, but not for couples.

The room was a good size, very clean and very nice. Hotel is right on Las Ramblas which is cool at all times of the day! Staff were friendly and helpful. We had a very nice stay here!

Hotel Monegal is a hotel on a more than perfect location, corner La Rambla and pl. Catalunja. It,s no top hotel but the rooms are clean and the staff are friendly and for the money you pay for such a perfect location it is a great hotel. I will recommend Monegal to all my friends

The location is amazing. The room and bathroom weren't huge , but they were both very clean. We didn't try the breakfast buffet, but being located right on the Ramblas, there were plenty of places to eat just within a few feet. The best part was sitting out on the balcony at night and watching...

This hotel was in a great location, very clean and the English speaking staff very helpful and friendly. The twin room was a decent size and there was a great view over the Plaza and Las Ramblas.

excellent location. you can't get much more central and convinient. metro station right in frront and aerobus stop just across placa catalunya. the staff were wonderful. it is a hotel, so you won't meet people the same as a hostel. but i will defiantely stay here again.

I think the location is great but the price was ridiculous and the people at the counter were confused all the time and after a half an hour they realized I did have a room even though I checked in that night.

On the whole an impressive motel - the location is GREAT! However, i wouldn´t stay there again unless the motel invests in bar fridges for every room (an essential commodity when you want to always have cold bottled water available at your room).

There was a cockroach in the shower when we got there. Other than that, it was fine. This is not a hostel, its a hotel, so don´t expect a hostel atmosphere. It was very convenient location-wise; it was right on Plaza de Catalunya.

The location couldn't be better, the view from the hotel room over the Placa Catalonya was very good. We did'nt spend much time in the hotel, but for a place to sleep, store luggage and shower, its superb. Nice, helpful staff staff.

I loved everything about this hotel except the man who worked the night-shift. He was EXCEPTIONALLY rude. Aside from that, the rest of the staff were so nice and very helpful. The rooms were very simple, nothing extravagant, but cozy and just what we needed.
