They did a good job in communicating with us before our arrival. One tip: if you have an early morning flight as we did get the info from Jordi about how to set up a taxi pick-up while he is checking you in. I would think for 3 couples (i.e. a group), especially during warm weather (there is a fantastic terrace) it would be optimal to take the whole apartment.close

The appartment was even better than expected, the terrace is perfekt for a long breakfast or a drink at night. The room and bathroom were clean and well-equipped and we barely heard or saw the other guests. We really enjoyed our stay there.

Yes I would stay again. The place was perfect, close to a metro (line C), which is heads straight up Las Ramblas. Montjuic also has a load attractions, so a great spot with great character. Jordi sat down and spent an hour explaining the basics. Brilliant!

Jordi, the manager, was brilliant and so helpful. This was a great place to stay, close to the station, though we walked to and from las ramblas and other areas most days. there are also some very good local restaurants. We would definitely stay again.

The apartment is wonderful (the roof terrace is epecially gorgeous), having your own keys means you can come and go as you please. The area is quiet and lovely and it is a 15-20 minute walk to las ramblas and a five minute walk to the tube station. Great value we would definitely use it again.

The pictures on hostelworld.com really don't do the place much justice. Having chosen a room with 2 single beds, I expected a small boxed in space (like the picture), but we really had more than enough walking space even after having put two open suitcases on the floor. Next to that, our room had a door to a small strip of the terrace that goes around the house where it adjoins to the main part of the terrace. But, I think we were probably the only ones with such acces (overall the terrace can be accessed through the living room). And because of that, our room might have been somewhat bigger - I wouldn't know about the other two bedrooms! The mountjuic ATTIC is accessed through a staircase on the terrace and is housed on a different level. That as a sidenote. Though there isn't much of a view from the terrace, just the busy streets of the city on the left and the somewhat shady gates to the Montjuic parc on the right, it's a very quiet place and it was great to be able to have dinner/breakfast outside. Speaking of which, the only somewhat negative thing I have to say about Montjuic guesthouse, is that the kitchen could be better equipped. There was only one frying pan, but it was a very cheap and old thing, so we could make things like stirred vegetables, but something like pancakes was near to impossible, because it kept sticking to the pan (no matter how much oil or butter we used). But on a positive note, the kitchen did have trays to make icecubes and a big enough fridge and freezer (so we could freeze bottles of water at night and have cool water with us all day). The bathrooms were clean, with good showers and enough hot water, and we even had a special heating rack in our room for the towels to dry. The rest of the house was clean as well. Also, every room in the house had remote controlled airconditioning (and user manual!) and a safe, of which you get the key and an individual combination. When we arrived we were greated by the 'host' who told us how to get around and gave us directions to Las Ramblas (in walking distance - closer than we expected!) and the cheap, nearby supermarkets (just around the corner). I say 'host' because the house is only occupied by the tourists and not the local who owns it. Last but not least, it's a great location if you also plan on visiting parc Montjuic, but I wouldn't recommend walking anything further than that - just take the subway. Thinking that everything was very far apart, we spend 3 nights in Montjuic guesthouse and 4 nights in a place on Rambla de Catalunya, but we ended up seeing the area around Placa Catalunya and Las Ramblas many many times, because it's close to both R. de Catalunya and parc Montjuic, though those two by itself are way too far apart. While the guesthouse is on a great location, the edge of the parc, the parc itself is realy really BIG! Anyway, we only took the subway twice and bought a 2-day ticket to the 'tourist bus', which I'd highly recommend! Enjoy your stay!close

As others have said, the terrace is great. The place is fantastic for mid-trip because there is a kitchen and a washer and dryer in the basement. We enjoyed staying in a place that felt more like an apartment than a hostal.
