Not bad overall, and definitley worth a visit. This road is overrun with tourists from all ovver the world, though they all manage to start looking alike after a couple of days in Thailand. This road is overrun with tourists from all ovver the world, though they all manage to start looking alike after a couple of days in Thailand. The same sunburn, the same style of dress...etc etc etc. All in all, Kho San seems to adequately represent what one would expect when coming here...whether this is good or bad, I'll leave that for you to decide. While you could stop for a bite at one of the many restaurants, I would recommend trying the Phad Thai from the street vendors, or one of the many other dishes being served up on the side of the street. If you are looking for an experience that isn't completely cookie cutter SE Asia, don't go to Kho San.close

If you are not staying in or around this area it is worth a visit anyway. Neon lights flashing, food and market stalls jostling for space along the road; it can all make for a pretty hectic experience. If you get overwhelmed just choose one of the many bars lining the street and have a rest... more If you are not staying in or around this area it is worth a visit anyway.
