An even bigger plus is the long sandy beach that runs parrallel to the town so needless to say most of the locals are dressed for the beach at all times.close

1A lovely B&B with very friendly and helpful owners. Colin and Larraine went out their way to take us around town and make sure we did everything we wanted to. Great accommodation also, and breakfast!!

Blacksmiths Beach House 85%
Staff very friendly & helpful. Were not expectig to have to backtrack from Newcastle - directions should be in write up on internet site.

Quality Hotel NOAH'S On The Beach 80%
Located on the coastline of Newcastle this hotel has excellent sea views. The restaurant has huge ceiling to floor windows the make the most of the scenery. A good place to stay while passing through Newcastle and only a short stroll to the golden beach.

Stockton Sand Dunes100%
Last March we quadbiked the Stockton Sand Dunes and it was definitely one of the most fun things I've done in a long time. The dunes are about a half hour from Newcastle and two hours from Sydney and are absolutely incredible. They feature in the Mad Max movies. As well as quad biking you can sand board or do a four wheel drive trip.
