   Very good value for money and delicious greek food; restaurant is located in Plaka but on the top of the hill; just 15mn away from the Acropolis. There is a beautiful view of Athens especially at sunset. It's a quiet location, away from Plaka's mayhem downhill.

   Granted, this is in heart of Athens' most touristy location, but you still can't fault it for quaility of food. Along with the traditional fare, entertainment is sometimes put on at night and during the day it has lovely cover from the hot Greek sun.

   While you won’t find conventional tapas here, you will find reasonably priced dishes like chicken burritos and stuffed pita bread. It’s also in the Gazi district which is getting particularly cool lately.

   This restaurant in the cool Psiri district is off the tourist-trodden paths and is frequented mainly by locals. Food is extremely cheap and there’s always a nice atmosphere in and around the restaurant.

   This is actually a chain of family owned restaurants in Greece and there are a few dotted around Athens, or so our waiter told us. Needless to say if you like pasta then you will like this place! The restaurant can get pretty packed as it’s so popular among locals and the atmosphere is always really lively. I had the pasta mista which must have been good since I can remember its name! Try it out, you won’t be disappointed!close
