The place was grat guy at reception was very helpful and pleasant. Rooms were very clean and secure. However to me athens itself is somewhere we would skip on any further holidays.

It on a very very busy road so if you are looking for peace and quiet don't stay there! Location is pretty close to the main attractions (i would still get on the nr 400 bus that takes you to all the main sites). The neighbourhood is not the greatest - but then again I found athens to be a dirty...

Athens itself is fairly walkable but also has a new underground system that like most of the ones in Europe is really easy to navigate. The couple that owns the place was really nice- our only hang up is that we booked the hotel for 2 nights and the first night they shipped us over to a different hotel because the electricity on one of the floors wasn't working. They paid for our cab fair to the other hotel which was equally nice and in a good location, but it was inconvenient to have to stay one night here and one night there. One OUTSTANDING feature of the Apollo is their roof top bar that oepns up at night- totally chill people that work there and an awesome view of the Acropolis which is completely lit up at night . If I had to do it again I would definitely stay here- it is still a budget hotel so don't expect luxury, but it has all the necessary amenities so if you're on a budget this is a great place to stay.close

Our room was facing a pretty busy street and the noise level was very high. We stayed in a more expensive hotel in Athens ealier and it was the same, maybe you just have to expect it.

Decent hotel, very close to a metro stop which is convenient, very good staff. The rooftop bar has an amazing view of the Acropolis at night.

The people are very nice and helpful. The reception is a good place to ask about the city. Thanks to the metro just around the corner it is a child play to reach the farthest corners of the metropol within minutes. Rooms are clean and nice only the baths are a bit too tine.

Very nice helpful staff, just a very noisy street and difficult to sleep at night. Close to the sites, but not a very clean neighborhood. Close to Metro. Wider selection for breakfast than you get at most hostels.

Good positions, it's easy to get to all the main attractions from there. The rooms are clean and pretty good for the price, and the included breakfast is a nice plus. Too bad the hotel is on a very busy street, so it can be a bit noisy at night, but I'd definitely go back there.

This is definately a hotel. Very nice living, very clean and only about five minutes walk from the metro station. We actually stayed here twice cause it was so convenient and the price was great. Reccommend it to anyone who wants to get out of that dorm style living. The breakfast is good too!!!

Even though later that night we saw them accepting credit cards. We had to go and get cash out to pay for the room. Two stops away from the city centre by metro which is located just around the corner from the hostel. For what you pay, this truly is a great little hostel, very comfy and clean. In regard to the fun factor, its not a really interactive kinda hostel, but it really comes down to what you make of it!

The free breakfast consisted of bread, cheese, ham. The orange juice was extremely watered down. The milk for the cereal was also warm. Also, 2 different sets of people advised me that they were told a different rate from what others had paid.
