  “ Ao Nang is known for a starting point out to Koh Phi Phi but the place itself is worth a stay. We stayed at Ao Nang Villa's which was gorgeous and great value for money, with 2 pools and breakfast included in the rate. The nightlife in Ao Nang isn't exactly buzzing but there are a few… more bars with a nice relaxed feeling, there is also the notorious strip of "girlie" bars which are really aimed at men with loud music and scantily glad girls and ahem... "girls", beckoning from the front of the bar, dying for a chance to keep lonely men company by playing cards, pool etc... Great for doing a boat trip out to the islands from, including chicken island and others which are very scenic. Although the boat trip can be bumpy at times, we got a speed boat and I was nearly thrown overboard because I sat at the front. Scary!close
