Part of the gallery is currently under restoration but the creme de la creme of the permenant collection are still on display in the Philips Wing. Here you can see the famous pieces from the likes of Rembrandt and Frans Hals as well as many others.

    Good colection of Historical things as well as large and excellent collection of Pictures. Near to van gogh Museum. So both the mesuems can be planned together.

    The Rijksmuseum is Holland's largest art museum and home to lots of Rembrandt's finest work. His famous 'Night Watch' painting hangs there. Sadly a lot of it was closed when i was there.
