The bedroom are a bit small and there is no much ventilation unless you leave the whole window open.I guess wasn't to hot so we didn't have much problem. The staff were very helpful and the breakkie was fab!I would recommend it and would stay there again.

the staff was very rude, our door locked, jiggled a lot. our room was at the top level, and got very hot. when we opened our windows as a result, the staff shut them.

Staff are multilingual and helpful. Well positioned hotel close to museums and galleries and concert hall. A little further from entertainment centres but connected by tram easily enough. (What seemed like a plumbing noise irritated me at times). Excellent choices for breakfast. Recommended for...

polite enough staff... rooms seemed clean at first...bed bugs though. and worst of all, a terrible sound in the room all through the day and night...low noise like a pump coming on and off...made for very difficult sleeping...used ear plugs finally and that helped...

Room was small and a bit scruffy but basically OK. Toilet was on next floor down which was a bit annoying. A bit out of the centre, but near tram and in a really nice area, very convenient for museums.

The only downside of the hotel are the stairs which are very narrow and staying on the upper floors might make it difficult for older people. But the staff was nice enough to help us with the luggage.

The room although basic was clean and a nice place to crash out. The location is good in a quiet nice part of town, although maybe a bit far out if your not too keen on walking, however the trams round the corner are every few mins to take you all over the city (10 mins to RLD or Cent Station) and Liedesplien with loads of bars & restaurants is only a 5 min walk away. The owners of the hotel are really friendly and the old lady even did us some ironing for our night out - Now thats hospitallity! I'd recommend the Hotel Verdi to anyone and I will sure be back on my next trip to Amsterdam!close

Hotel Verdi is next to the Concertgebouw. My friends and I are music students. We always rush to the concert hall in our own country. In Ams, it is good that we just walk for 2mins to the hotel to concert hall. Also as near the hall, some musicians would book Hotel Verdi. If you are luck,...

Hotel appears to be very clean sheets and bathroom very clean carpet could do with a shampoo in room 12 at the top where we were. I discovered a bite on my arm but that could have been an insect that got in the window either that or the matresses need to be changed, as I said though everything appeared to be clean.Staff very friendly and helpful, breakfast good, nice cat.5 min walk from albert cyupstraat street market in de pijp area full of great ethnic restaurants and coffee shops. 10 min walk leidseplein 2 mins on tram. 5 mins on tram 16 from central station. Not a party hostel better for couples or friends 30 plus nice quiet area right next to concert hall and museums, convenient to centre.close

I liked the location near the museums very well, but the hotel was pretty average in character in cleanliness. It was more like a small, inexpensive hotel, than a cute Bed and Breakfast.

Good quiet location and easy to get to from the centre (10-20 minutes by the number 5 tram or bike). Within walking distance of the museum district and no issues with security. Marked down slightly on cleanliness due to a few mosquitoes being noticably present during the night.

Our only complain about the hotel was going to be the lack of elevator (our room was on the 3rd floor) and the very steep stairs. But we found out that the steep stairs issue is predominant in Amsterdam, so there is really no complain. Overall, great price/value ratio.
