  “ My wife and I recently stayed here for 3 days and we cannot highly recommend it enough. The room was cozy, but not cramped by any means. There was a small balcony and a good sized bathroom. The stairs were very steep and narrow, but of course, that's to be expected in Amsterdam. Wendie served us... more served us a nice, small breakfast to get us started in the morning (generally, coffee, fresh squeezed orange juice, a pastry and fruit). The guestroom is in a great location as it's right in the middle of the Leidseplein area, so plenty of things to do (albeit a bit touristy). It's also very easy to get anywhere you want in the city since it's right on the 1, 2, 5 tram stop and any part of the city centre is at most, a 30 minute walk. When we were searching for places to stay in Amsterdam, we wanted our own room/bathroom (so most hostels were out) and most hotels were very expensive (or were much further out). Adamgoodstay was a perfect mix of affordability, location, and a personal connection to the city (incidentally, Hans is a wealth of information about Amsterdam, so definitely solicit recommendations if needed). The next time we come to Amsterdam, we will most certainly be staying with Hans and Wendie. close ”
