killanigia says: “ Aachen is a great city to visit - small, manageable, pretty, atmospheric. The octagonal church is beautiful inside. Aachener Weihnachtsmarkt (Christmas Markets) are super fun and create the perfect build up for Christmas. I'd recommend it over Cologne's more famous market.

- The Aachen Christmas markets are full of stalls selling great festive treats and gifts. It's a popular attraction in December and really adds to the atmosphere of its location. A must see if you visit during the festive season.
